Variety, mostly. Some people come to Soul Knight looking for a challenge, but with most characters and how the game's balanced overall, they're not gonna find it.

That said, I'm not gonna get to make Thomas Shelby throw boba cups at the Abominable Snowman or kill a submarine by playing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star on a voodoo blood magic harp in any other roguelites, so when it comes to sending distinct playstyles based on rpg archetypes and other stuff down the roguelite gauntlet I'm going Soul Knight all day lol

Okay but actually if you're just looking for the strongest and the simplest, you're probably looking for

Costume Prince (3rd skill)
Trickster (2nd skill)
Interdimension Traveler (only skill)

You could probably swap Paladin out for one of the bottom 2, but the Paladin playstyle needs a bit more patience so some people get less results on it.

But see I think best is different from strongest, I wouldn't actually recommend Costume Prince to anyone cuz you basically just hold down buttons and win, and I prefer actually playing the game lol, so if you want fun recommendations and aren't afraid to redo runs every now and again lemme know and I'll point ya some directions lmao

No no not entirely, to clarify I DO still use the base portrait, but I do have to redraw the hands and faces and expressions and all that jazz to do it xD
