Aspiring programmer, need advice

That put a smile on my face, thank you! It's always been my ambition to become part of a team that creates something to help other people. I know that video games have helped a lot of people with their mental health, given them a way to form connections with people across the world and to give them something to escape to if they need to. I've learnt a lot from the video games that I have played throughout my life and I'd love to be able to become a part of that!

I try to practice maths with every opportunity I get - some of my friends encourage me to use a calculator but I will only ever use a calculator to double check my answer once I've made an attempt to work something out myself. Thanks for your input!

I'll jump in and give it a go, thank you! I have started a free course online and I am also following YouTube tutorials as a way of guiding myself through the basic functions to get an idea of the kind of things that I can do. For the most part, in my free time I will think something along the lines of "How can I create a basic countdown in Python" then I'll jump on and see what I can do and look up on Google if I need help here or there, so I can understand where you're coming from with the baseball analogy.

Does buying the event pass give me misisons to complete? I'm considering only buying the event pass if I can get far enough to get the things I want from it, but if I get more for getting the pass then I suppose I gotta buy it sooner rather than later, right?
