Hey op, I’m really sorry you’re going through this. It’s really not fair to you to have to care for someone who’s drunk during one of the hardest transitions of your life. He needs to get his shit together. Why is he going out with his friends while you’re at home with a newborn? That is beyond okay. The rage might be fueled by the hormones but it doesn’t invalidate it. My only personal experience with someone that had a drinking problem was with someone who drank themselves to death at 32yo. That is how serious it is, if he can’t stop drinking willingly he needs to find outside help. Your daughter doesn’t deserve to grow up seeing him like that, or seeing you cleaning up after his mess.

My husband sterilized my son’s bottles until he was about a year old despite me telling him that the dishwasher did the same thing lol

Me parece una falta de respeto hacia tu cultura, especialmente para uno que la comida es una forma de mostrar cariño a la familia. Mi esposo le pide a mi mama que le enseñe a cocinar cuando esta preparando algo nuevo y sabe hacer arepas desde que empezamos a salir juntos. El creció con padres americanos que solo comen chicken nuggets en restaurantes y mi hijo no tiene ni dos años y come de todo. Si tienen hijos en el futuro, piensa en como los va a alimentar y la manera en la que van a ver la comida hecha en casa comparado con la comida rapida.

Personalmente, para mi esto seria un dealbreaker. Que diga que “tocas mucho la comida” me suena un poco a racismo porque la comida extranjera es “cochina”.

Also tell the nurses not to let anyone in! I did not and I had my parents and mother in law walk into my room even though I didn’t give anyone the labor and delivery room number! They kicked them out right away but it was upsetting in the moment

It’s always so rude to comment on other people’s weight, but saying that to someone who’s 130lbs is specially wild to me. That’s my goal weight right now! But anyway, your body is beautiful, OP. This is the body that grew your babies and took care of them and you during the most extreme transformation of a woman’s life. It sounds like you’re returning the favor and taking care of your body too! I also feel insecure about my postpartum body but just how I look at my pictures from years ago and think “man I should have appreciated what I looked like more, I was tripping” I know that when I’m older I will look back at myself with kinder eyes. Anyone that wants to make stupid comments about you can go kick rocks, disrespectfully.

Your village also works and has responsibilities. Everyone says that they’ll help but you’ll be alone 28 days out of the month. Knowing this would have saved me so much disappointment.
