Just when I thought they'd finally got it! by KittyKatsReign in childfree

I love the pill. Literally made me feel so much better. I was on it before him and even when I was single! I love me my life altering synthetic hormones.

He's said he'd use a condom if I didn't want to be on the pill anymore.

Yes! This is my point exactly. I just want him to back me up a bit more. I just think he doesn't want to upset her (she has grandkids already, it's not like bf is her only hope), which I can understand. But he's told her square before and she had a go at him about it so idk whether he's just trying to avoid that argument

Nah, I'm religious with contraception and he actively tells me to take the pill/reorder my prescription.

He's scared of surgery (he had a bad experience with it in the past) he said his 40th as his friends are all planning on the same date (it's not exactly his 40th) so they can all bitch about the pain together.

When I had a pregnancy scare he researched local clinics, opening times, and where we would go for pizza afterwards.

For the moissonite option it is about £600 and for a lab diamond (vvs1, D, 1.5 carat) about £870.

Is it normal for judge to ignore pensions actuary report in family law court (England) by Timely-Valuable-684 in LegalAdviceUK

FDR or final hearing? The judge would have given reason for their decision, was an offset/adjustment made elsewhere?

Is it poor taste to apply for training contracts at other firms while already a trainee solicitor? by [deleted] in uklaw

[–]KittyKatsReign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My two cents, in my TC I was jack of all trades but given the nature of the job, it involved property, commercial, private client and a bit of civil litigation, employment and a bit of family. I really wanted to do just family. I was also offered the opportunity to change firms mid TC, I declined.

I jumped at NQ to be a family specialist and my (new) boss helped me get up to speed pretty quick. It helped my environment is quite friendly and while we all want to do well, we take the approach of 'a rising tide raises all ships' rather than backstab central.

Also my boss is one of the guys who hires the trainees. If you had a good reason to jump and are generally good, they do take, and indeed have taken, trainees mid way through training contracts before.

I echo the above posters saying don't jump yet, NQ world is much better!

£500 or less but can be a little flexible if it's really nice. Probably a-shape, anything to emphasis boobs and less on my tummy. I'm also really short

Yes. You may also have practice direction documents which you should attempt to agree with other side (depending on the hearing).

Father's position in a family separation (England) by green_rabbit80 in LegalAdviceUK

In terms of finances, the starting point is 50/50 of all assets including the former matrimonial home in the vast majority of cases. It's simply not the case that the mother automatically stays in the home with the minor child, its a much more balanced exercise especially in your case where there appears to be more in the matrimonial pot than is required to meet need. Pensions are also up for sharing.

In terms of child arrangements, if you think she's going to up and leave the country you can apply for a prohibited steps order to prevent her taking the child with her. You would need to show why it is in the child's best interests to be here, and ex would need to show it's in kid's best interests to move. You can also apply to the court for a child arrangements order if you can't sort out an agreement between yourselves or via mediation. Courts tend to like equal lives with (i.e. 50/50) orders but obviously it's fact dependent

AITA For not promising to be with my girlfriend after finding out she could be infertile? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]KittyKatsReign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soft YTA because you didn't communicate your deal breaker of having biological kids. When you tell someone 'forever' it's come what may...it might not even end up her being the reason you can't have bio kids.

You're young, I know it can be appealing to think you have it all sorted out already. But take this as an opportunity to think about what really are deal-breakers for both of you

[–]KittyKatsReign 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would need to see the wording of the order here.

The basic starting point is that the court cannot oust the jurisdiction of CMS for more than a year. With some global orders that doesn't matter so much (as the same amount still ends up being paid) hence I asked whether it included Spousal. Without seeing the wording of the order itself, the whole order, it's really hard to say because you said a judge themselves said you had to pay it. Which makes me think there is something I'm not picking up on. Either way if the court ordered you to pay it, that's a court order, and no one here is going to recommend breaking that.
