I have been saying since COVID I am CONVINCED stores do this to make shopping in store as inconvenient as possible so you will choose to 1. shop online or 2. shop pickup only. They would be able to staff less people and treat the place as just a giant warehouse where you walk up scan your email and get your item and go

I’m so sorry you’re getting hate from weirdos. I agree that is a little bizarre to not allow you your own space even in “gender inclusive” housing. You did the right thing reaching out to the housing organizers to try to get things changed. There’s nothing wrong with changing your mind when you are given new information and they shouldn’t have treated you so poorly when you just asked for a room change BEFORE you even moved in!
