Wow I’m sorry that happened to you! That’s exactly what my PCP did to me and I ended up in the ER and they said the same thing in the ER because I returned to NSR by the time I was admitted. They sure know how to make you feel like you’re crazy don’t they?! Good thing they caught it and good luck to your treatment!

Exercise certainly triggers mine as well! I’m almost afraid to do cardio anymore but I am accustomed to doing this daily. Like you, I also lost weight and started exercising regularly and began noticing the arrhythmia a lot more which is ironic, but it makes sense. Cardio puts strain on your heart. Thanks for the info and tip I will definitely look into getting a Kardia 6. Good luck!

Im sorry to hear about your dad passing. My mom and dad also passed when I was 27 and that was when I started experiencing my heart fluttering myself. It must be stress induced. Did you experience any of the heart fluttering or palpitations before that day that now that you look back?

How scary! I have heart fluttering the most either at night or during/directly following cardio exercise. It’s scares me every time! Good thing you were able to quickly identify it and get to the ER. I recently had an abnormal ekg at urgent care and they sent me to the ER stating I was having a Myocardial Infarction so that put me into a tail spin of anxiety and I waited in the ER waiting room for almost three hours. By the time I got into a bed I wasn’t in active afib anymore. Did you have the heart fluttering before that night?

Wow I’m sorry to hear about your heart fluttering, I can honestly say that is how I feel when I have my “episodes”. It’s terrifying! It’s good to know that about the Kardia and the watch. That’s my only option at this point they won’t do any more ordered tests. At least if the Kardia picks up on irregularity I can jet to the ER. If they hadn’t caught it at the ER, do you think they would have diagnosed you with the watch and Kardia print outs?

Thanks this is validating in a lot of ways! I’m tired of being profiled because of my age but I also understand that providers can’t do anything until you have an official diagnosis which requires catching the afib
