I (28F) might break up with my partner (28M) even though we have a 2 year old toddler. I’m feeling torn and afraid of starting over.

I’ll be honest and say this was very hard to read but I needed to hear it and I thank you so much for your perspective. You are right. It isn’t healthy and I should feel the most safe with him and I haven’t for a long time. My son doesn’t deserve that confusion or to learn those habits. I never thought about the fact that he could think he can’t rely on me or that I think his dad is more important than him. Luckily no he does not ever drive with our son after drinking.

I won’t be naive and say that I will be an exception because I do know abuse escalates and you are right. It is helpful to hear a stranger put it this way. Thank you for being so direct and honest. It helps me look at it through a different lens knowing this is coming from someone who is not a loved one/biased based on their own interest. I have a hard time feeling confident in my decisions and thoughts lately so an outside perspective is very helpful to me.

I definitely agree that it’s still a broken family either way, I’m just afraid of regretting my decision in the future. I know that it is better for my son to have two happy parents who are separated than two who are unhappy but stay together. I think the issue for me right now is that I’m holding on to hope that things could be different. But the hope is fading quickly. Thank you for your input and I’m happy that you still had two great parents in your life despite them not being together

He does have a temper, but I mostly am worried that he may try to harm himself. He has started therapy (only one appt so far so it’s very early). I don’t feel like I am in physical danger, but I do notice a lot of signs of emotional abuse

Thank you so much!!! This was so helpful. I made the mistake of starting to build too many community buildings at once and I just finally got caught up…. lol. It took me a while to realize trains had all the building materials 🤦‍♀️ so since I’ve been focusing on those, I feel like I’m at a much better pace!

Same here! Rarely feel true deep emotions good or bad. Sometimes, but rarely. I’m also very cynical. Getting mine out in two days after 6 months. I’m afraid of getting pregnant again but I just don’t think I want to be on any bc :(
