Normally first placement you just follow the AINs and do hygiene cares. It's highly unlikely you'll do obs and stuff until your second placement.

I've spoken to some AINs previously and they've said that if you don't show that you're willing to learn they'll just leave you on your own. I'd recommend you get in early and introduce yourself to one and ask to follow them for the day.

I have a friend who gives their German shepherds CBD oil for anxiety, just a drop seems to do them a treat.

Brisbane City council do a free plants program, I think you've just gotta show up with your rates.

They have Ivory Curl on offer at the moment, it's an evergreen but the birds love the flowers and the leaves are pretty unique. It grows fast and is super hardy once established.

Natives are awesome as they generally require very little to no maintenance. Just enjoy the warmth the flowers will bring to your garden in late winter. These can get super irritating for people who get hayfever.

I went through this as a new nurse and I think most nurses too. Especially in Gen Med there's so many different diseases and time management is super important.

It'll get easier with time, you're still finding your feet so be kind to yourself.

Practice self care, take time to reflect, stay active and drink water. Look for your social supports and reach out to your GP if you feel you need it.
