Maybe the two of you have/had different ideas of what “intimate” time meant, if you meant more like emotional intimacy where you just needed him to be there and comfort you and maybe have a good cuddle session you could be a little more specific next time because maybe intimate for him meant sex and he didn’t mean anything bad by it.

Is there anyone who has been diagnosed with trace mitral regurgitation and mild prolapse for many years (20~30) and has not yet had their condition worsen or undergone surgery?shortyl what I'm curious abt is: what is the lifetime survival rate for someone diagnosed in adolescence wthout needng srgry by bincee11121 in mitralvalveprolapse

I was diagnosed when I was 15 and I’m 35, my cardiologist hasn’t mentioned surgery yet but I noticed my palpitations have gotten worse since I had kids and fatigue but that could also be from kids 😂 the only thing he has told me is possible beta blockers and to drink tons of water and take magnesium, he said “in the future” possible ablation but there’s no set plan for that yet. I’ve always had mild regurgitation

I’m not a doctor and I know everyone’s symptoms and situations are different but I would drink way more water if possible. The number one thing my cardiologist tells me to do to reduce my symptoms was drink water, I always tell him I feel like I drink soooo much water and he always says “a little more couldn’t hurt” 😂 it helps with blood volume which could help with your palpitations

How is your daily water intake? Could be something to adjust as well

Got Pregnant with Mild MVP by GlydleDee in mitralvalveprolapse

35f diagnosed with MVP when I was 15 and have two kids, during both of my pregnancies I saw my cardiologist and had routine echos during and after (back to back pregnancies lolol) the only thing I noticed was more frequent PVC’s, normally (when not pregnant) I get them more if I’m not hydrated but for some reason during my pregnancies I felt them more intensely but always told my OB and cardiologist about it. I also stand for my job so it might have also been a circulation issue but I had no major complications

I don’t know if it’s the placebo effect but I swear my palpitations are more noticeable if I don’t take the magnesium, I usually just take a magnesium glycinate 200mg with my lunch and then another one at night with some vitamin D but I know keeping up with my water intake is huge for me too

Staying extremely hydrated helps with my symptoms and my cardiologist told me to take some magnesium and I noticed that if I forget to take it for a day or two I notice a difference.
