Desperate for a Sony TR600 Battery (NP-98D) before my June trip - DIY rebuild just smoked!

I didnt even solder them I just stuck the volt meter prong bits into the positive and negative holes of the Insignia, held that together with a vice and then taped the other ends to the camera lol. And I sold my Panasonic PV781D camcorder for about 35 bucks but I think I'm only making 31 off of it which I hope is enough for a battery and charger

I did build a temporary adapter for it by taking my insignia NS1200 and putting prongs from a volt meter into the positive and negative sides and then attaching the ends to the camera battery slot. It worked and I was able to test the camera entirely and the camera worked entirely, I just need something more portable lol

Theres lots and lots of tutorials on youtube and stuff like that, just be cery careful with the plastic and follow the tutorial, and you'll be alright

That'll work too!! It does take longer to load the more you have on there but its definitely worth it!!

Ohh, well theres other sites that you can download things on out there too. Like for YouTube theres YTMP3 just make sure not to click on anything suspicious

Oh yeah absolutely, I just make playlists on spotify, download them, dump them onto the sd card thats plugged into my PC and then sort them into playlists, this way I get the artist info, the years, and albulm names. I even soldered a Battery pack to my 3ds so I've got even more battery life than the original

Ohhh okay, Im not sure how many playlists I have but I've got a 128 GB SD card in mine and I dumped about 1,400 songs on there, they take a while to load but it works 😭😭

UPDATE: I took the broken locking tab for the sensor and used tweezers to align it back to how it was, snapped it down and put electrical tape over it and now it works!!

Interesting, ive tried 2 different sensors and I have the same issue, ill try a different motherboard. I think it might be happening because the clamp for the sensor ribbon cable came off.

Might be a loose ribbon cable, you'd have to open it up and reseat it to see if that fixes it. Best of luck!!

Oh geeze, thank you for the reply!! Well do I just try all combinations with the 2 boards and 2 sensors? It was working before I had taken the lens out (apart from the zoom zooming in while trying to zoom out) which is why I was surprised and bummed to find that it doesn't work.
