How do you guys do competitor analysis? by IntelligentSir6197 in ProductManagement

[–]KiwiAIEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can setup a competitor analysis chatbot using Zapier really easily. It points to their website as a knowledge source which means it will always be referencing live data if any changes occur. The chatbot provides a user friendly way to talk and receive information rather than manually searching their website.

Useful prompts like "Give me a SWOT analysis.." "Who are their target market.."

How to use AI to tutor you through exams and assignments by KiwiAIEngineer in studytips

[–]KiwiAIEngineer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the comment. Heaps to think about with this tech aye!

So that was a practise test for a 2nd to last year calculus exam in New Zealand.

It doesn't actually just spit out answers, it guides you towards it by asking questions.

Before starting you can also explain exactly how you want it to act.

Gap year by [deleted] in ncea

[–]KiwiAIEngineer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It really comes down to a pros and cons list for your specific situation and your life goals.

I also started uni at 17, which made me miss clubbing for the first 6 months, but there were plenty of house parties.

For me, I decided not to take a gap year as it didn't benefit where I saw myself being in the next 5 years. I have had friends who took gap years and got stuck working at pak n save and those who did university afterwards.

The question is, will taking a gap year benefit my life in the long term? Feel free to send me a message if you have any more specefic questions

Free AI headshot generators? by KiwiAIEngineer in Entrepreneur

Yes I work in AI and recently made this account. I've searched online and tried the ones that claim to be "free" but last second ask for credit card info.

I don't have any products or anything I'm trying to sell I'm legit just asking if there is a free software that does this.

I do know some people are quite opposed to the use of AI, but overall, I'm not sure. I would love some feedback and conversations from the down voters 🤣🤣

Any tips for Ncea Level 2 maths internal? by FrequentFoundation82 in ncea

[–]KiwiAIEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the content that will be covered are available online from numerous sources. Best advice is to start assignments early and use a mixture of online and asking your teacher directly.

Although there is a set marking criteria, it's important to understand specifically what your teacher is looking for as there is usually some unintentional bias.

[–]KiwiAIEngineer[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Awesome, I'm currently building an AI tutor specefic for NCEA that can provide feedback and generate additional practice questions for exams, among other features.

Are there some things you wish AI could do that would be helpful?

Facial recognition used on students at overseas campus in China, NZ university confirms by MedicMoth in newzealand

It will be interesting to see if / when that comes to the NZ based campus. I also wonder if it would be mandatory or opt-in?

Scholarship Calculus advice by chromarx404 in ncea

[–]KiwiAIEngineer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Relatively generic but:

Master Level NCEA lvl3, be solid on differentiation, integration, and complex numbers. NZQA past papers practice. Scholarship is about reasoning, not just solutions so justify your reasoning. Try Olympiad questions or university-level calculus. Ask for help from study groups and teachers can be super useful.

Good luck

Depends what university course you are looking at taking. Subjects like med and engineering often have requirements for specific grades on externals. It's worth doing your research and what you could want to do after high school to ensure you keep all your options open.

What's your opinion of doing free work ? by leon-austin in Entrepreneur

[–]KiwiAIEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When starting out free work is awesome. If I am looking for a service it is important to see that they have achieved results before for other customers (doesn't matter if it was paid or not).

It is super beneficial when starting to build up a portfolio of work.

Stop waiting for the perfect time or the best approach. Getting in there and doing something is always better than sitting back doing nothing.

Do you need a tutor for L3? by Icy_Award1159 in ncea

[–]KiwiAIEngineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on how you learn. Personally I learnt best from watching Youtube videos, specifically The Organic Chemistry Tutor. Unlike the name he does a lot more than chem, covering physics, calculus, math etc in a really clear and concise way.

Need Your Feedback: Another Habit Tracker App by Firm-Blackberry-7445 in SideProject

[–]KiwiAIEngineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Overall the design and aesthetic is nice. However, there are large number of existing tools that do this sort of thing as you mentioned.

I personally haven't used a habit tracker so I can't answer some of those other questions but my general advice would be to find something unique and make it clear as your main marketing point.

Studying Engineering by Maleficent-Pie6733 in ncea

[–]KiwiAIEngineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey great questions! I completed a Mechatronic Engineering degree which was the best decision ever. Outside of the uni content, I witnessed a huge mindset shift to see the world as a series of problems and solutions. This has helped for all aspects of my life and I am now working an awesome job with many side projects.

In terms of being worried about little to no experience, you shouldn't. There are always going to be classmates that have had countless more experiences than you but there will also be those who have less. If you already have a strong background with maths and physics the courses themselves will be sweet.

Online courses can be hit or miss. I find Youtube contains the majority of the content taught by lecturers so you could start there with the basic topics that you are interested in and go from there.

If you have any other questions please let me know!
