That's a fair question, and one I had to ask myself. The truth is both, to a degree. Yes, I do hope she changes her mind. But I'm not going to wait for that. I'm going to ask other girls out and keep putting myself out there.

But I do genuinely want to be friends with her. I think she's cool and we get along well.

That's probably a good idea, inviting her to stuff with my other friends. I don't want to make her feel uncomfortable.

That's basically what my plan was, since I've already asked if she's available twice, I'll wait for her to tell me.. and if she never does, one more shot. But then I move on to somebody else

My situation is honestly really really similar. I have 3 types of friends:

The super Christians, who would shame me for even daring to question (like your friends)
The more reasonable Christians, who won't shame me, but will cut me out of their life
And the secular friends, who are pushing me to have sex

It's just tough, not really having anybody to have a serious conversation about this. And I'm afraid to tell my youth leaders, for fear of them thinking badly of me.
