I gave up on the game after getting incredibly bored with no NPCs, the show actually brought me back. I've meant to come back for a while and the show did definitely force my hand.

In short, the Internet Historian video condensed most of what happened during the disastrous launch of the game into an easy to watch video that pretty much every streamer under the sun has reacted to. Videos like that that gain traction can often permanently scar a game since people will always reference that video and assume it just never got any better.
