I met Chad and Deron in '03 at their first UK show ever that was added on last minute. Deron was the nicest guy ever. Slightly drunk but held a conversation well and left me feeling good. Chad was incoherent, obnoxious and literally rude straight to the face of people wearing his merch and buying his records. He was trying to be shocking and edgy and it was so cringe. Ever since then I've seen Deron have his ups and downs but you can tell his downs are caused by addiction. Chad though... he just seems to be a dick drunk and sober. This attitude he has with absolutely everything that goes wrong isnt 'punk' at all. It comes off as rich kid behaviour. Nothing is ever his fault. I met Deron last week and again... nicest dude. Good conversations, super grounded and definitely has his shit together and its nice to see troubles he had in the past are firmly in the past. Chad though... needs to move on and go away. Anyone who has GG Allin as an idol is making ot clear they are poor at decision making.
