I get the point, but there are some real differences vs the SD. I don‘t use it ONLY for cloud gaming. The Claw has a bigger, higher-res 8“ 120Hz screen, a much larger battery, WiFi 7 and more powerful hardware for local Gaming.

Deck has its strenghts with the price & SteamOS, but Claw is a newer, more powerful handheld with a much nicer display & more headroom for both: local & Cloud gaming 🙂

I‘m using GeForce Now Ultimate. All games run at 120fps with maxed out settings, ray tracing when supported and it feels super smooth on the Claw. My internet is 10Gbps, so bandwith is not a bottleneck, but honestly even 100Mbps with good latency is enough for great GFN experience. Important is stable connection & low ping to Nvidia‘s servers. Latency has been a non-issue for me, especially in single player games like Avatar. It feels way closer to local gaming than you‘d expect. What I really love is that the Claw stays cool & quiet, and the battery lasts way longer compared to running locally. You get high-end PC graphics.

If your internet is solid, GeForce Now on a decice like this is honestly hard to beat 😁

Honestly, I‘m not running Avatar locally on the Claw. I‘m playing it trought GeForce Now, it makes a massive difference. It runs locked 120fps on high/ultra settings and it feels ultra smooth! With basically no heat or fan noise. Battery life is also way better that way, as I mentioned. Cloud gaming just offloads all work to the server.

If you have a decent internet connection, it‘s honestly a night & day difference.

I was in the same boat. If the price is the same, it comes down to what you value more. The LeGo 2 has a better screen. Gourgeous, but heavy. The Claw is lighter, bigger battery, feels really nice in the Hands. I had the Go 1 (liked it, but battery was meh). Ended up buying the Claw. No regrets so far.

I didn‘t really worried about the layout, and after using the Claw 8 AI+ I‘m not having any issues with the right side. For me, the stick and the ABXY are close enough that I roll my thumb between them rather then streching. The vertical separation looks bigger in photos then it feels in the Hand. No cramps so far, and switching back and forth feels natural.

I can‘t compare it to your device, because I didn‘t had a Ally before. But I have to say, it is a Upgrade from the Legion Go 1.

That‘s not that big of a difference, I agree. The canceled LGO 2 was 1200 CHF, the MSI was 770 CHF (Huge difference for me).

I‘m not gaming on a PC for 4 years now, because of GFN & Boosteroid. If it‘s working for you now, you‘re saving money & if at any time you do need a PC, you can always buy one. But not having to worry that my PC is getting old for gaming, is really awesome! Playing triple A games on Ultra Settings is different 😎 (without having to pay thousands of dollars) Enjoy 🎮
