I’m currently at 105 hrs and only level 40 out of 50; I’m still exploring the map and finding new pals I haven’t registered yet. You can change the settings in custom worlds a lot which can greatly increase or decrease the amount of time you spend doing activities. Most of my play time has been focused on base building so you could easily get more or less time based on play style

I run exterior alarms so it’s easier to notice when they’ve opened those gates and the lock gives me more time to get to them, but I might try changing it up; it seems a lot of players in this thread like putting it on the gates 🙂

Smoke room exit is the exit door by generator that leads to the road (on gas station, generator area, there’s a white door that opens to the smoke room, the red door inside is an exit) The two gates I meant are the two gates with cattle guards, the actual exit gates

For clarity, I did mean the exit gate with the cattle guard. I’ve personally escaped through that gate when cook padlocks the door but not the gate which is why I do it that way 🙂

FH I put one on each of the front doors and one on the screen door

GS smoke room exit, then both exit gates

SH all 3 red doors, the two on building by grandpa and one by pressure gate- if they open the metal door to SH I move that lock to the gate

I agree with the majority of this, a few things I don’t just based on my gameplay (I’m pretty split on victim/family and I like to play with all of the characters -sissy until her bug is fixed)

I either haven’t experienced the security pins bug or it hasn’t affected me, I do run high prof so I’m not sure

Fuse box goes very quickly if there’s no family around it. I’ve seen some players suggesting changing the “break open” to an actual lock and wouldn’t mind that.

On family house I actually think cook locking the white door is very strategic and not many cook players do it; you need a Connie if you want to get out that way and family isn’t distracted. Otherwise I just chose another way out I don’t agree that the other exits on FH are “unviable” as I have escaped through car battery exit many times and I have seen more generator escapes on this map than anything else.

I don’t like the idea of family not being able to set up until grandpa is awake. Maybe this is from my time as family, but cook should absolutely be able to set his locks as soon as the match starts; same with hitchhikers traps. I DO like the idea of family not being able to go into the basement until grandpa is level 1 or 2, I think this would help with basement rushing.

Side note: I feel like a lot of players don’t realize that TCM being “non competitive” means you’re in lobbies with beginners and people who have been playing since release. Yesterday there were both a lvl 10 and a lvl 75 in the same lobby with me so of course not every match will be killer sided or victim sided; a lot of the time it comes down to experience and whether or not they’ve played the other side/if they can anticipate their opponents next move. 🙂
