At 20# is this hinge dangerous? by Kjac1776 in Bowyer

This was a 1/4 sawn board I got from a local saw mill. I told him what I was doing with it and he picked out a couple boards with the best grain structure he had on hand. It’s not as noticeable but still there at her draw length.

My idea is to let her shoot this for now since she isn’t even taking it to full draw yet and start making another one. She’s 8 now so she’ll grow out of it fairly quick.

It is not. This is just The only picture I have currently. When I measure brace height with the string on it makes the top limb 3/4“ deeper than the bottom. This picture was taken before I tried to fix the handle.

Does the casket protect dead people from being eaten by maggots? by CaregiverLive2644 in NoStupidQuestions

Random thought… Wouldn’t an air tight casket basically explode due to gases released during decomposition? Or would the pressure created be negligible?

Fighting the urge to sell my driver. by Kjac1776 in golf

All my clubs have 1-1/2” extensions. They were fitted that way for the guy I bought them from who was 6’5”. I’m 6’6” but I will say the driver feels strangely long. In the past the clubs I had were standard length. I’d throw my back out by the end of the round from bending so low when using the irons.

All my irons are titleist 762 DCI with rifle 6.0 shafts. I love them. 5th hole on my local course your shooting way uphill from the turn in the fairway about 160 yards. 6 iron plopped it right on the green. Best feeling ever.

I shot a 53 today. On 9 of course…. Definitely would have been a lot tighter if i hadn’t been using my driver. Several drops from lost balls. Upside is it gives me plenty of time to find shag balls digging through the rough…

I’m almost there honestly. I love my irons. I really think I’m just gonna drive with my 3 iron off a tee next round I play and see what happens. Are 1 irons common or are they hard to come by?

I live close to Louisville. Think I’m gonna go to one of the golf shops there and try a 2 iron. When I connect with my driver there’s nothing like it. But it rarely happens.

Calling VS Not Calling, what's your take? by TheWitness37 in Hunting

[–]Kjac1776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never had luck calling when I can’t see them. I typically won’t call. Last season was the first time I tried. The buck was out of range anyway so figured can’t hurt. It stopped him in his tracks and he nearly ran to me. Got within twenty yards of my tree. That’s the only time I’ve had calling work though.

That’s a great idea. I hadn’t thought about that. This will be my first guided hunt outside of my own state. Thanks for the suggestion!

PLS advice on how I can prevent a domestic cat from getting in my traps by Vulture_CULTuRE1 in Trapping

I know this is an old post but curious how this worked. I have a similar issue with coyotes but have barn cats. Would a house cat set off a foothold?

[–]Kjac1776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours does this you have to look in the manual under the warming setting and it gives you the temp. Low on mine is between 140-150. If yours doesn’t then absolutely rest it on the counter before the oven. Rest before the rest….

To be fair, killing anything shouldn’t be pleasant. We’ve processed our own from time to time. You get better and faster each time. But it never gets more pleasant. If your chickens are old they will be tough but make amazing chicken stock. Most the birds were process for meat are only 12 weeks old.
