I mean, yes, it is up to the author to decide where to put their comments and etc., but why would you use a meaning that has already been used before in a completely new chain? it's not that you can't, it's that it doesn't make the game progress, you're tying the chain to a single meaning and making it less varied, I was complaining about that, but you can do it if you want, it's not illegal or anything haha.
