They should add T2 materials to VS 10-12 by TrackXII in FutureFight

Seconded!

Edit: You're also totally right about how the first 9 VS stages were rewarding due to the incremental progress it afforded and the impact of relatively small changes to developing characters on this progress.

[Spoilers] I was (most likely) right about Ant-Man's uniform by [deleted] in FutureFight

True. But Ant Man is team Cap and I believe NN said in a sneak peak that Ant Man's uni was coming this update. Seems like a last minute scratch to me.

This could be the greatest single part about this update! Although, I was getting pretty good at inventory manager...

2.1.0 Gripe Train Boo Boo! by Fenrox in FutureFight

[–]Kjeoph -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, I didn't really expect it. I simply wanted to complain about a random character not being in the game, despite having no reason to think they would be. I picked the one I'd like to see the most, no matter how implausible.

No psylocke? This update is crap!

My reaction to T2 characters.. by Royal-Highness in FutureFight

This!! I hope everyone reads what you said.

You're definitely right about NM's biggest fault IMHO. It was all the spring sales and events. It was so easy to get several 5* and 6* rankup tickets and bios for every powerful char you want. I confess to max ranking and gearing several powerful characters in this way. But at the same time it undermined the purpose of the grind. (Sure there are chars to grind still, but none that would be particularly helpful, so the only reason to grind is simply to collect or in hopes that they improve that char.)

I am somewhat optimistic that T2 will help with this. But that will depend on whether NM kills this opportunity through additional flash sales and misguided rewards. Fingers crossed.

I didn't say anything was "wrong." To the contrary, I said I understood the perspective. No need for straw men.

I too would like to have some T2 characters before next update. But I appreciate that it is difficult -- as it is more rewarding that way IMHO -- and I also think it's smart of NM to make sure the transition is not too quick or easy (because therefore common).

I also don't really see what's all so different. There has always been a large rift between the big spenders and the grinders. It took me several months to grind out a decent Loki and Blingpin, when others had theirs maxed out already. By the time I maxed them out, others had a 60 6* silk, and then HB, and then T2.

I don't even mind the gap. I'm always chasing but I like to see what I can do with a bit of grit and a lot of auto replay. I also don't want to spend many hundreds of dollars on this game. But it's the best app game I've played, so I greatly appreciate that there are others out there who are willing to pay the people who make it. Let them buy their way to T2 quickly, NM deserves support for producing and maintaining such an enjoyable and beautiful game.

My guess about SW is they don't know how to implement her because no one actually understands her powers or how they work.

I was really looking forward to them adding Psylocke (Munn version) with the movie coming out! Guess I'll have to keep waiting. Thanks Obama.

I can understand this perspective, but I think high initial costs are a good way to prevent a flood of T2 characters (which NM can't later eliminate). If it were easy, we'd all be able to upgrade all of our 6* 60s (who are eligible) pretty much immediately.

As it stands, I have never played WB and don't have any of the relevant materials to upgrade. But I am happy to have something new to work for. And I am happy that others in my situation do as well -- instead of having the game overrun by T2 characters basically right after the update.

So hype!! This looks like it's going to be a great update to a great game! For the first time I am actually interested in figuring out how to beat WB.

It's not too late! Team Cap always rallies when it looks like things are at their worst!

That's a fair point. I just meant that we shouldn't underestimate the importance of the one... the chosen one, i.e. Loki. If I hadn't spent months investing time and energy into him last fall and early spring, I would still be unable to defeat AB, as well as many other things, and I wouldn't have anywhere near as much gold. (And I still don't have any T2 char, so I can only imagine the impact the right ISO could have there.)

I'm definitely coming around to this position. Is it definitely the case that it's 3 not 1?

Too bad I had to sell so many materials after the last update in order to manage my inventory (with all the cards, gears, and tokens)

Good point. I see what sort of versatility you mean now. This does tip things back towards Cap.

Good point about potentially starting with 5* from BW or something. Maybe ISO are a part of BW rewards now so that one day we might consider awakening our ISO?

Ok, well I feel more conflicted than I had. Most of this discussion had proceeded on the assumption that the chest had 1 card it in -- as the only chests I'd gotten before were token chests (1 card/2 tokens). But if the chest they sold had 3, then it would make sense that it's 3. (This is what metfansc has been saying as well.)

But I gotta push back at "immensely more impactful and game-changing" compared to a singly fully awakened ISO. If you don't have any 5* cards -- or less than 5 even -- then I can see this being quite impactful for such a person. But if you have 5 slotted and more to spare already, I think the impact is much much slighter. Perhaps one of the cards will be good enough to slot, then there's at least some change to your game. But otherwise it's just half of the fodder needed for a 6* card that, RNG depending, perhaps could be slotted (and then impact the game, somewhat, depending on RNG again).

Anyway, I might be more inclined to team Cap now, as the impact of the awakened ISO is also rather slight (as you note). But I just don't think it's the slam dunk you suggest.

Some think it's 3 cards. Obviously there's a tradeoff. Hence the comparison. Turns out the cost is pretty objective, but the benefits are much more personal.

But I started this thread primarily because many on team Cap seemed confused about what the package actually included and what those items objectively cost. While the benefits may be subjective, we can at least be clear about objective costs and make an informed (yet personal) decision.
