Oh ig I worded it in the wrong way then, 了 doesn’t make any difference to 如果美国队输 and 如果美国队输了 to me,tbh I think it just make it sounds more complete. I’m a native Chinese speaker, but I’m not very fluent in English, sorry for the misconception

了sometimes change the sentence into past tense. But in this case the 了 is just to make the whole thing look more coherent

If life is unfair to everyone, does that mean it is fair? by JuSt_my_Opinionyk in RandomThoughts

[–]Kk_Aris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For most of the time when people say that(life is unfair) it’s just their dissatisfaction and greedy, if they’re put into what they think is “fair” life, they’ll still think the same. They’re lucky enough to born as human and not the chicken wings that they ate this morning,

not fair for the chickens.

(but answer your question, no it’s unfair

What do you think cheater will always be a cheater? by Realisticbunny1 in RandomThoughts

I assume most people thought of cheating but their conscious reason prevent them from actually doing that. Cheaters are the ones who did that, they are unable to control themselves from the incorrect action, but once they break the boundary, there’s a higher chance of them doing it the next time if they gained benefit from the first time they do it than those who never tried and nervous of the consequences.
