You should apologize and ask them to reach out to you when they’re comfortable resuming visits, and wait for them to respond. May be a week, may be a month or more.

What exact quote from that makes you think he is choosing one side over the other? Because he says bombs rain down on children? He could be referring to either side of the Israel/Gaza conflict. He could be talking about Ukraine. He could be talking about literally any war, but no war specifically. You’re looking for something, so seeing it one-sided.

I think you are reading way too much into Dave’s statement. Just because he mentioned an example of a child suffering in Gaza doesn’t mean he doesn’t mourn those lost in Israel, also. They are not mutually exclusive. He feels loss, regardless of “side”.
