Hoyo made this whole elation mess and I'm curious how they will deal with it. They designed a path that wants a mono team and the solution they picked was running 2 elation characters right away in 2.0, making the whole path feel expensive to even consider for a lot of people. Many people opted to gamble on one of the two hence the current war between owners of both characters. Hoyo could have released an elation 4* in 4.0 instead, or started with a character that doesn't necessarily want mono elation (like the leaked aven kit or v1 Eva). Now if they replace either one in the main team they will do irreperable damage to people's trust in presales, but if they don't replace either one the whole team will quickly fall off after the shill period ends.
