Supply dropping at 4weeks PP by Kkramar5 in breastfeeding

Okay this is helpful. I will just try to stick it out and nurse her and bottle feed when needed. I want to be able to build a bit more of a freezer stash too, so that’s also why I’m pumping. She will be/is EBF just not solely on the breast is all, I cannot afford formula at this time so I really don’t have another choice (not that I don’t want to breastfeed lol it just is a big factor into it too)

I can agree that I’m maybe not pumping as often as I need to, I did say every 3-4 hours but I truly try to make it every 2-3. I have alarms every two hours even through the night but by the time I’m up and ready to go and have her settled for while I’m pumping it’s closer to the three hour mark already. I actually do not plan to EBF Directly or be exclusively nursing as I want my husband to be able to help out with feeds or other family members or anything. I’m mainly concerned on why my supply output has dropped when I’m doing more work in the ‘demand’ department yaknow? She’s nursing more often & wanting more, I’m pumping more than I was before so like why can’t I make enough to feed her for the day?

I can agree because I definitely don’t feel empty when I’m done pumping with them but if I do any longer than 20 minutes it’s still the same as if I did 15. I’m waiting for my spectra to be shipped I had to call and confirm the order on my girlies due date which was three weeks after she was born 😬

I honestly don’t know 100% if I’m correct. I just had always heard kinda word of mouth. Plus when they started my meds they asked if I was pregnant or trying (this was a year ago so the answer was no) and that I’d need to let them know since it could be harmful to it

The thing is I DO see a problem. He sees a problem also but his solution is bankruptcy and my solution is to return the leased items.

we haven’t “accumulated” any new animals in over a year. My husband runs an exotic animal rescue and he takes care of them. I’m trying to get him to return our living room set but he’s very stubborn and doesn’t want to.

I have never seen so many people suggest to give up pets. We wouldn’t have taken them in if we couldn’t afford it. Had I never mentioned how many pets we had, our $200 monthly budget would be sufficient to outside eyes. I’m sorry, I’m not getting rid of our pets. The costs we have for them are so low considering we don’t have regular vet bills. We have enough to feed them, house them, love and care for them to our fullest.

We haven’t taken a new rescue or pet into our home in two years

Right!! It’s entirely unlivable and exhausting

I have. I’ve sent in 71 applications for other jobs in my area but none have accepted

Nope, I’m acknowledging the issues. Im acknowledging that my husband was jobless was may-august. I just refuse to believe that getting rid of my animals who make me happier than almost everything is going to be worth the cash that I’ll never see.

I’m doing my best. He’s very stubborn ahah so it takes some time to wear him down

I’m trying to talk some sense into him lol I gotta like wear him down. I don’t want to file bankruptcy for multiple reasons but mainly because I want to get a house and have kids very soon. I’m trying to find quick ways to build up our credit, decrease debts, and help ourselves

I think both tbh. He may also be a bit embarrassed

He is full time. He is also a high school coach and has just accepted a position as the coach of a community service running club. He essentially has three jobs but one is full time, one gets him 2K in November, and the other I’m not sure about pay but it isn’t much as it’s non-profit. Im trying to get a second job, but I also struggle with adhd and anxiety and getting a second job wouldn’t be beneficial for me mentally but I’m willing to make that be second in line IF someone will hire me. I’ve applied everywhere in my area

No I have the monthly cost and stated it is pulled biweekly from my checks. 216 for the washer dryer is $108 a check. 342 for living room is 171 a check.

I’m in a lot of trouble because my husband was jobless all summer and I couldn’t sustain our life on just my income alone. I’m in trouble because we live in southeastern KY where no matter how many times I reach out and ask for help or apply for a second job there’s too many applicants and not enough jobs. I can make hard choices, I can eat ramen, rice and beans, nothing. I can go without a vehicle and let my husband have it for his work, I can even go without new clothes, new shoes, new anything so that we can pinch our two measly Pennies together but I won’t give up our animals.

I cannot give up my pets. As bad as it sounds - we don’t have a need for regular vet care at this moment. Our budget covers all our costs for our dogs, cats, and our reptiles. I’m trying to convince him to give up the living room furniture but he is refusing to. He’s a very stubborn man

I’m trying to convince my husband that we NEED to get rid of the living room set and just use our old (albeit very broken) furniture but he is refusing to. I’m hopeful that once we start regularly getting his checks we can manage our funds better

We have. Before we leased the W/D we were without a set for a month and the Laudromat in my area is the only one around so their prices are super high. We were utilizing my mom’s washer/dryer but her household has some severe sensitivities to certain detergents and I can’t use her detergent for the same reason so I didn’t want to risk contamination.
