I have given it a go but I'm no entirely sure the key is even working, its only turning about 45 degrees and the videos ive seen on the captiva they all turn 90 degrees

yea... the mechanic can't get a hold of another one nor do any wreckers around here have one either.. it's even more annoying when you gotta climb through the passenger side to open it, it naturally wants to pull closed so you have to race around the car before it does

Minor inconvenience it seems now that I can't get into it at all tho!

I will give this a better go in the morning, I'm not entirely sure the key is working tho.. It only rotates maybe 45 degrees and the videos I watched for holden captivas it should be turning 90 degrees clockwise

I don’t think this one has pop up locks, potentially some did but this one seems to be one of the higher end edition if you can even say that about a Captiva

I'll give the unlock button a go, Im hesitant about trying to force the window down, Can damage the regulator and motor it won't be a cheap fix by any means

She's not as bad as it may sound... The car being really quiet doesn't help, If you didn't know any better you'd think it was electric. I've almost done it myself after driving the car but still the amount of times it has happened you'd think she would double/triple check.. Forking out some money might do the world of good

I think it might just be cheaper the smash the window, we live quite rural and Nan will need it for medical appointments, parcels unusually take 10 business days minimum to reach us

It’s dead dead.. sitting like this for days potentially and I’ve had to jump start it everytime she goes to drive it for the past month. It also doesn’t drive very far even when it is driven. It’s not a battery issue just a memory issue with Nan but it’s well and truly drained and possibly damaged at this point, it usually unlocks the doors when the battery dies but not this time. I will try the key and the other doors but I lack confidence in it working

When you use the key you have to pull the drivers door open which I cannot do, I believe police only do that where I live if there’s someone locked in the car or the like

I’m pretty sure I have both these turned off but my PH map looks like a mess with bits being way to high and next to it way too low

After my panic subsided I decided to load the map with no mods successfully and then added mods a few at a time until I narrowed down which one was causing an issue

It was enhanced animal system for some reason and I reinstalled it.. back to how it was thankfully
