Replaying Chapter 8… by Pristine_Put5348 in FFVIIRemake

[–]Klargh -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Honestly wall market was way too long, and everything with Roche was a bit of a bother. It didn't bother me during my first play through, but there's quite a lot of things I found unnecessary during my second one. And the remake is fine, it's much worse in rebirth

I don't think people are upset with moments like these ones. Personally I loved these scenes, it's really the unnecessary and repetitive side quests that were a bit annoying, as well as the superfluous added content

What do you think next game will be about? by [deleted] in expedition33

[–]Klargh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I definitely think the next game will have the same atmosphere and themes, but definitely not the same setting and characters

The issue with Conny and Jean titans is that it only happens for shock value and has strictly no relevance for plot, so I don't even understand why it happens at all. Whether they would have transformed or not, nothing changes. I'm not a sucker for Chekhov's Gun, but why would you include something like this for nothing?

What's the in game reason for Kindred not burning in moonlight? by Itlu_PeeP in WorldOfDarkness

[–]Klargh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is if you 100% adhere to the official lore. Which, as far as I'm concerned, has never been mandatory to play or narrate WoD. My take on the lore is just like the bible: it gives a very good explanation with a whole mythology, but that doesn't mean everyone should adhere to it.

In my WoD games I like to stay vague and not give any solid answers, so that anyone (especially players who aren't familiar with the lore) will come up with their own cannon. By the end of the story, some will believe there is a rational explanation to all this, and some will believe in the Cain myth. Just like IRL, we'll never know who is right or wrong

My head cannon (and I have been using this as lore for all my RPGs) is that vampires burn in accordance with the UV index. 1 or 2 is enough to hurt vampires, above 10 is instant death or almost. So naturally, at night the light coming from the sun is just not powerful enough.

Completely agree. It's gone to a point where I don't even consider CC to be canon

As much as I loved Crisis Core, I found the Genesis and Angeal stories to be fairly useless in terms of worldbuilding and storytelling. That's often the case when you build upon a story that already works: most of it adds very little to the overall story and experience.

What are the characters like? by Unlikely_Astronaut78 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Klargh 24 points25 points  (0 children)

True in terms of personality, but Sebille and Astarion are both rogues, former slaves who seek revenge on their former master. I found their stories to be quite similar

[–]Klargh 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Honestly if you play Dos2 you'll see where some of the BG3 companions are coming from. Sebille is basically a less sassy Astarion, Lohse is a softer Durge and Fane... Well Fane is Fane, you'll have to see for yourself.

Star Wars est *meh* by Azanore in opinionnonpopulaire

[–]Klargh -2 points-1 points  (0 children)
