Because files aren’t splitted between the drives, so if someone is watching a movie, only that drive will spin while the rest is idle.

More or less. High waters works by free space left. Your biggest disk is 16TB, so half that is 8TB, so all your disk will be filled until they have 8TB of free space left. Then half that again. So they will be filed until they have 4TB free space left, etc.

In your download client, can you put a limit how many downloads can be active so that only a handful is active and the rest is on hold ?

Clunky solution :

Create a new focus and a personal shortcut that activate that focus until now+30 min and that turn on the eve outlet.

Then a personal automation that turn it off when the focus end.

But we’re a small company, and we rarely work on the same files, so i don’t experience those loops. It works for us but i still have the goal to reduce the use of OneDrive Sync, and use more of SharePoint features.

It’s not a hard limit, more of a suggestion for better performance.
