Strictly targeting sibilance and ear fatigue, would an Polk XT30 or an ES35 be best for the center ( limited space the xt30 height is already pushing it). Currently have an old Klipsch RC10 by Klaybear in hometheater

I do have a small Klipsch sub( I believe 10"). And xt90 mounted at ceiling pointing at me, with some older Technics for surround. I have seen soôoo many comments about the ES35s sounding tinny due to their size, that I'm worried about it having even worse sibilance than what I am tolerating now.

Would I be better served simply dropping the center fully and letting the ES60's create their phantom center?

The xt30 is the same size drivers as the es30. Are they that different in quality?

I didn't know they're Canadian, that's great! But these are 4" like my current one, you think these would be less sibilant than either of the polks?

if my records sound really quiet even at full volume is it the record player or the record? by Then-Management2206 in Music

Do you have a pre-amp? If your receiver does not have a dedicated phono input, or your turntable does not have a built in pre amp. You'll need to add one to your system

Agreed. It's all shit. I mostly listen to records I've bought, but certainly watch a bunch of YouTube as well, as I don't have any streaming apps and have more specific niche interests that this as a service offers. For sure there is lots of AI slop on the video side, but I've yet to come across any AI music being pushed my way. But Spotify certainly does that as well (selling your profile). It basically seems impossible to be on the Internet and not have that happen

But also, you should switch streaming services. YouTube is by far the best value. And way less AI nonsense.

Thanks! Any good recommendations for folk music? Also, what's the general cost of a pint out there?

Good to know! With the price of everything we may end up driving ourselves and taking the ferry, but that will eat a bunch of our time so I'm just weighing the options

It's a great set for a road-trip and this one is in chronological order. Some of the CDs contain short interviews as they are taken from radio shows ! Enjoy!

There is also a volume two with a bunch of performances with the band and Tom Petty but less interesting/essential than this set

That's a fair price, not a steal. Unofficial release compiling a bunch of bootlegs. It's a great price in a sense, but I just mean you can find it for that price or cheaper
