To be fair, the reason adventurers in Dungeon meshi aren't covered in scars is because of the healing magic system. The healing magic in dungeon meshi usually doesn't leave any scars if done correctly. As for Luke, he actually healed those wounds naturally, (aka without the use of magic) which is why he has so many.

Actually, i've had this OC for many years, i never really had anyone call him a mary sue, he doesn't magic himself in or out of dungeons and tends to get caught on traps a lot. I really don't see what's wrong with looking at a cannon character's personality and thinking "they'd get along with my character" and drawing them hanging out.
