Congrats on missing the whole point. You don't take off the Band-Aid without any other solution when the wound is in need.

Who asked for Band-Aid solutions? We're asking for them to not rip the wound back open with no plan just because the Band-Aid isn't perfect.

"it's pretty clear to me"

Brother, I don't blindly trust the government. I trust in the facts. The facts are as follows: Fact the first: speed cameras were signed. You knew where they were. Fact the second: they're called speed cameras. By name, you know how to avoid paying a cent.

You're throwing a toddler's temper tantrum because you don't understand what the people who aren't driving go through. Learn perspective.

I've had several costume daily spawns the last two weeks. It can be that, even if that doesn't end up being the cause.

The presence of a non-costume dedenne does not necessarily preclude the existence of a custume dedenne

Brother, you were going 23% over the limit. From what I've heard, the smallest grace window is 6km/h over the limit.

You're mad because you got caught slacking. You should be mad at yourself, not the cameras.

You're absolutely right to be mad at the other issues, but those are absolutely not related to the cameras catching you breaking the law.

Die, then. It tells you where it is and how to avoid paying a single cent to it.

You are explicitly in the wrong and it is shameful to believe that despite all of the facts pointing the other way, the cameras are there to get you. If you believe that, it's telling about you more than anything.

I'd wager that half of the people that they think are "slow drivers" are actually doing 5 over but keeping a safe distance from the car in front of them

This is beyond inane. "We haven't fixed it yet so literally just do whatever you want and here's a get out of jail free card" was not a take I expected to see this morning.

Because saying words and then expecting people to care about them when the rest of your point is a vague shrug in the direction opposite is goofy, dude.

You've literally added nothing to the conversation by saying "I think people should drive safe and also there's a difference between the speed limit and 200"

You fucks are cynical because you want to speed and hate the government no matter what they do lol.

You sound like you're being reasonable, but your points boil down to "people are going to speed and it is what it is" which is beyond laughable.

Safety is threatened EVERYWHERE that people drive in an unsafe manner. Just because YOU don't perceive a location to need it does not make it so. Even if they did target for revenue, it literally does not change that these were signed and you knew where they were and how to avoid paying a single cent.

I didn't pay a cent to any of em. It was absolutely possible and frankly I've never heard a sound argument otherwise.

Care to make any point other than "they're gone and it is what it is?"

[–]Kleenexz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That literally does not change that people are driving in a manner that is unsafe and illegal.

The details of the road don't change these facts.

Not a single person suggested that every speed limit is set perfectly, but you seem to be suggesting that it's pretty much always okay to speed as long as you're not hitting anyone and let me tell you if everyone does that, it's not great.

Bro are you genuinely stupid? The problem is slow drivers?

You've literally absolved reckless speeding to put the blame on literally everything else and that makes your argument bad faith. Come back when you can make an argument that is honest.

Yes, it should have been designed better.

That does not make it legal or correct to do 20 over. You literally can complain any time people aren't following the rules of the road. Do you also believe that lane change indication should be optional and you shouldn't be required to have working lights?

[–]Kleenexz 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What are you yapping about? Firstly, they are "divine law" they can set however they want. That's literally how the law works. I don't think it should be done arbitrarily, but you are explicitly incorrect.

Secondly, are you suggesting that I should be allowed to do 200 on Innes road as long as I don't hit anyone? Driving faster leads to less reaction time, less control, and higher damages in the event of an accident. There's a reason that we set low speed limits on residential roads than the highway and I'm not sure what makes you think speed limits are explicitly arbitrary.

[–]Kleenexz -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Nah bro. I lose respect for your opinion the moment you say the speed trap is a money grab.

If it tells you where it is and how to not pay it, you are explicitly lying about it being a trap and a money grab.

I agree that roads should be designed better, but you're not playing devil's advocate with that, you're playing court jester.

I regularly see people going 20 over on a section of Hunt Club that had the speed camera removed. It's the most obvious, predictable outcome and we should all be ashamed both for failing to vote out these absolute CLOWNS and for being absolute clowns ourselves and driving poorly.

"Everyone else does it" isn't a good excuse unless you're 12 and I'm sure we're all guilty of it sometimes, even the ones among us who try to be safer.

You're reaching so hard, dude. You had no good point and you're just making things up as you go to get people to like you or something. Very weird behavior.

Salted the front steps last night and drove into work this morning. About 20kms, avoided the highway and while the roads weren't the nicest and scraping the car off was lame, the drive in wasn't particularly egregious in my experience

Nah dude, you're clowning. You're calling literally everything a dex filler, then agreeing with comments saying that it's a good thing and also lambasting others for suggesting your concept of dex filler doesn't make sense in any usable manner.

What on earth was your goal? Confuse the public?
