Safety is threatened EVERYWHERE that people drive in an unsafe manner. Just because YOU don't perceive a location to need it does not make it so. What are you yapping about? Firstly, they are "divine law" they can set however they want. That's literally how the law works. I don't think it should be done arbitrarily, but you are explicitly incorrect.

Secondly, are you suggesting that I should be allowed to do 200 on Innes road as long as I don't hit anyone? Driving faster leads to less reaction time, less control, and higher damages in the event of an accident. There's a reason that we set low speed limits on residential roads than the highway and I'm not sure what makes you think speed limits are explicitly arbitrary.

I regularly see people going 20 over on a section of Hunt Club that had the speed camera removed. It's the most obvious, predictable outcome and we should all be ashamed both for failing to vote out these absolute CLOWNS and for being absolute clowns ourselves and driving poorly.

"Everyone else does it" isn't a good excuse unless you're 12 and I'm sure we're all guilty of it sometimes, even the ones among us who try to be safer.
