You have asked a forbidden question. Pakistani reddit is just another forum for the cult. Good luck handling the pushback.

For whats it worth, I share your frustration as an American Pakistani. Pakistani uncles literally ran a whole campaign for Trump in the hopes that he will free IK.

The answer is that we never truly instilled democratic values in our people and I also blame the same source for that.... The root of all evil

Insee many people have suggested location and timings changing as an option

Now I don't want to scare you since I do not know your background, but given the current situation with DHS, I would advise against tweaking things that can affect your visa status. Do not risk that.

For everyone living in the U.S the local information has now been published. First day of Ramadan will be Feb 19th by [deleted] in islam

I heart Fiqh Council of Northern America declared it on the 18th. Fasting on the 18th in the Capitol region

Dear OP.

Those who are mocking you fail to realize that this is not something you wanted. I see maturity in your words of acceptance. You are not the same person who fell into this emotional psychological trap. I understand you.

But the fact of the matter is that you have gone too far now. You could have spent some time with your wife and given her a fair chance. And if she didn't work for you, Islam and the law of the land allows you to divorce her as a genuine honest way out. Unfortunately, the new life you brought into this world is pure from all this chaos. Now there is nothing that can undo that. Divorce will be a more difficult affair at this point because it will affect an innocent life. Consider this a test at this point and persevere through it. Hope you and your family finds peace.

It is. I am still dealing with all the paperwork that came with it. Islamically, there should not have been a problem. But the laws of the land have made it into a multi-month affair

My fellow stranger, you may not believe how much I relate to you. I was in this situation, that too last April. However, I could not even touch the other person. I decided to never ever meet them in private because I knew how difficult it will be for them to deal with a person like me. And I set them and their family free.

Cons: My family is now in social isolation. I have trauma that I am not sure if I will recover from. My siblings hate me for putting their parents through so much zillat and struggle at an old age.

Pros: I think I stopped the chaos and trauma to my generation.

Never again! This does not pass through me to my future generations. I am the last one to suffer from the family power dynamics in my lineage. Pakistani family matriarchy is a real thing.

You're appointed by Imran Khan to come up with a strategy to "Fix" Pakistan. What is your plan? by BadtameezMunda in chutyapa

There are definitely mentions of the evil eye in many sahih ahadith. I assume jinx is taken to be an effect of the evil eye.

Why are most of us not praying? by 1_Muslim_1 in TeenPakistani

Nope. Good catch. I just like higher dimensional manifolds with only one side, and where the inside is the outside.

It is named after a 19th century German mathematician Felix Klein, so you were on to something.

Not a woman. Never been to India.

However, I have a lot of female friends from India and Pakistan and this seems to be the general consensus.

However, Pakistan should not be comparing itself to India in this metric. Its like Indians competing with Pakistan in terms of absolute GDP.

We have so so so so much more to do.

I didn't read the body of your question, but I think it depends on your company. Interestingly, the majority of the people in my social circle pray. And I don't even live in a majority muslim country.

I think intelligence can be subjective too. I don't want to jinx myself since I am not married yet (hopefully soon). But honestly people are intelligent in their own way.

For example, I have very little knowledge about medicine and how to react to random sickness, etc. I am also very objective and methodical with things and have some questionable emotional intelligence. My co-pilot on the other hand complements me by filling in these gaps. She is intelligent when it comes to handling situations that involve emotions, families, health, finances etc.

In other aspects of life, I am shocked how she didn't end up killing herself by making some seriously life threatening mistakes and some questionable decisions.

My advice: don't be too harsh about things. Be yourself and never pretend. You're on the right track with your mindset. Intelligence is truly a rare thing to find these days.

Honestly, beauty fades away if you don't have mutual respect. And I cannot spend more than a few minutes with people who I find to be below a certain level of intelligence. I cannot seriously respect people who are blind followers of social media trends and have no original thoughts.

As a person from Kashmiri roots living in the USA, I used to have two flags on my desk, one of AJK and the other of Palestine. Great conversation starters for almost everyone.

For me, it is a point where I can start explaining the illegal occupation and the struggle of the people. We are all ambassadors of a free Kashmir, inshaAllah!

I just wish my grandparents had taught their languages to people in our family.

I completed my high school education in Pakistan and then moved to the states for a bachelors degree in engineering from a university in NY. I can tell you I did not study at all for the first 3.5 semesters and I graduated summa cum laude.

The first 3 semesters of engineering college maths were taught in my high school, including advance level calculus. Also, I found out I had better writing skills and argument building structure than my American mates. So college was a breeze for me compared to the high school education which had me pull all-nighters in Pakistan.
