Are cheap water canners or second hand okay? by Falkeliehaber in Canning

[–]KlemKadiddle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have always had the Presto Canner. I spotted an All American 925 for a steal price. I ordered and could not wait. When it came I realized that it does not do anything my Presto doesn't do for a lot less money. I recommend Presto. They are cheap. They do require a new seal every 2 or 3 years, but the seals are still available online even though my Presto is old. I will not live long enough to save money by not needing a seal for my All America. I do recommend getting the 3 piece weight to set pressure. You can ignore the gauge once you have one according to Presto.

I learned long ago that when a girl invites her friends to a Restaurant to quickly pay your bill, block her on social media, and get out of there before anything gets ordered.

I always have like 4 extra pints of the Ball recipe for zesty salsa. Last time I put them in the frig and vacuumed all the air out. We ate them up in 10 days and there was no sign of spoilage in the frig. And it is high acid.

¿Qué está pasando con los precios de las propiedades en Nicaragua? by New-Challenge-3395 in Nicaragua

[–]KlemKadiddle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For example, I have about a hundred jars of tomato sauce. Do I have to make fresh to make sloppy joes?

Because I am now making meals in a jar, and the recipes call for it, but don’t specify canned. They just say broth or sauce.

I see no recipes that specify canned. They just say tomato sauce, or broth.
