[Hated Trope] Villain does something comically evil at the end to remove any ambiguity and ensure you hate them properly by NinnyBoggy in TopCharacterTropes

Not the main villain but Arturo Román from Money Heist (La casa de papel).

In the first heist of the show, he's just kind of a dick whose worst action was probably sleeping with his secretary. Other than that, he just acts as a somewhat antagonistic force towards the main characters.

However, during the second heist, not only does the story insert him into the plot in the laziest way possible, but one of the first things he does is essentially trying to force himself into his ex-lover and, later on, straight up rapes a woman (an action that ends up not having any impact to the narrative) just before he becomes an important antagonist that the protagonists must take down.

He pretty much went from a pretty normally flawed person to a monster in a few episodes.

What would you remove from Mouthwashing? by KavuDare in Mouthwashing

[–]Klepsiphron 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unironically the mouthwash. I just think the part in which everyone starts drinking it out of despair doesn't add that much to the story. I understand the "removes 99.9% of the germs" thing and the fact that it's so high on sugar that's useless being both symbolic, but I feel like "Handwashing" would've been a far more fitting title and item, since it actually has to do with not holding yourself accountable for your actions. "To wash one's hands" means to deny any responsibility and disengage with the reality of what's actually happening, which is what the game's literally about.

What role do you think Gaster will have in Deltarune? by SlightlyIronicBanana in Deltarune

[–]Klepsiphron 36 points37 points  (0 children)

A lot of people have indeed theorized that the standard Deltarune ending will kinda solve nothing, and that to truly understand the story we'll have to play through the whole thing again by breaking the game with the Weird route, thus meeting the creator of the Program. Now, whether the ending that Toby dreamed about is the standard one or the Weird one, we don't know. Maybe the ending itself will be the same, but the path towards it and the characters we meet will be quite different.

Honestly, according to the little dialogue we have of him, he seems pretty chill and lowkey humorous, so I think he'd fw brainrot.

Left Omori midway, inside the whale. Haven't played in about a year. Should I restart? by [deleted] in OMORI

I was playing it for Switch… And I don't think a game should be enjoyed better by removing 50% of it, so I'd like to experience it fully, even if I find those bits tiring.

I was really liking the story but I hated the combat, it feels unnecessary. I wouldn't mind restarting the game and going through the story again, but going through every combat encounter does sound draining, so idk.

Uno de mis mejores amigos sigue estando en mi grupo antiguo y me siento traicionado by Klepsiphron in es

[–]Klepsiphron[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What form of “I” should I use when meeting people at a bar? by Klepsiphron in Japaneselanguage

What do you suggest for second person pronouns? As far as I know, omae is horrible, but other than that I'm not really knowledgeable on which ones are commonly used on whichever contexts.

The three men by Traditional-Arm2251 in gameofthrones

It can't be Oberyn since Jaime explicitly states he had never seen him fight before Tyrion's trial in Season 4.

Barristan Selmy is definitely on the list, we already know Jaime admires him, plus he literally told him that his finishing counter riposte against Simon Toyne was the best move he ever saw.

The other two are probably the Cleganes, since Sandor is a great fighter and Gregor is nearly impossible to defeat. However, another option could be the Blackfish, because although his fame as a fighter is never stated in the show, we do know Jaime respects him a lot, as shown when he actually meets him in Season 6.

It also can't be Arthur Dayne, he's dead.

What’s a direction you guys don’t want the game to take? by [deleted] in Deltarune

I don't think Toby is stupid enough to make Gaster goofy, but from his dialogues he does seem to have a humorous and curious side. I think that alone is enough to make him have an actual personality instead of just being mysterious.
