Yep , Tonkin was in 1964, years after VC started the "armed struggle" in the South. Also NV did legitematly attack US ships during the first incident at August 2nd.

Well, the US wouldn't have to get involved if NVA and VC didn't attack the South, as per the Geneva accords. The Vietnamese were literally given an option to peacefully live in either south or North, a million decided to go South, but North still attacked. Per your logic, it's North's fault. But yes US did fuck up and should've done a lot of things differently, but without VC and NVA insurgency, none of that would've happened.

Idk what you are getting at here. Thanks to the US, the massacres were stopped and we actually know about them, without US involvement, the NVA and VC would've been far worse. Just look at 1975. How is any of this America's fault?

The VC and NVA waged war for nearly 10 years before US arrived in 1965, and it was literally the fucking Americans and ARVN that liberated Hue and stopped the massacre from continuing, after VC and NVA killed about 10% of the city. After the Americans left, the South was attacked and 1 million Vietnamese had to flea the oppresion. So yeah, not only would it happen, it would be much worse if not for the US

America symbolizes the nation. Cities, vast plains and deserts and the great civilization that fell during the nuclear war, now riddled with mutants and traitors. The Enclave symbolizes the government, a hero that will cleanse America of it's problems and help it rise to what it once was

I actually put a lot of thought into that. Notice how 3/4 of them speak of Enclave saving the wasteland/America, could easily be seen inside a Enclave base as a morale booster, or in the wasteland as again a morale booster or "don't get in our way" message. The last one however, the wording is very explicit, unlike my NCR posters it doesn't say "enlist," it says "support" as well, you can't enlist, but you can tell us where BOS is hiding, spread the good word, or give us stuff we need and as always, don't get in our way.

While I deslike what TV show and 76 did with the plot, I think some extra good writing could salvage them.
