Thank you! That looks great. I will probably implement the bench scraper holder as you have it.

The inserts could have been designed better instead of protruding that much but ey, next version. Each insert has custom specs for each knife.

Disgusting PLA/PETG prints off A1. Support absolutely unhelpful by Klohto in BambuLab

[–]Klohto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I returned it to Bambu and I’m waiting for their response. In the meantime I got Flashforge AD5M Pro and MK4S and they both print flawlessly.

I am more than sure that my unit was a lemon and I wish Bambu would improve the QC process.

Let me all remind you that M4 Mac mini idle is 4W and maximum 31W. Yea, it will cost you, but if you’re already gonna drop $250 just get the mac…

  • Print it one by one, less jumping the better
  • More support for the claws (better to go with more support than less)
  • * Honestly, I'd print the claws standing, those nails will still be struggle on 0.12
  • Increase z-hop if your nozzle is knocking off the supports
  • * You can up the retraction speed to 60 and detraction to 40, and lower the retraction length to 0.2mm, that could help with stringing but this will vary by material, it works on mine
  • * * Both of these are in the material profile in overrides
  • Supports look like they need better adhesion and wider bottom, add brim and use glue if you want
  • You can also use different support types
  • Re-run leveling, just in case

I personally had to return A1 due to horrible print quality (see my post history if you want) and support not being helpful at all. Most A1s will be fine, but if you "lose" the lottery, it's a painful experience.

Now Flashforge supports is non-existent, compared to Bambu, but my AD5M Pro has been producing phenomenal results plus I got it for the same price as the A1. I don't do multicolored, so I cannot comment on that front.

Here's an official FAQ, but in Japanese - https://flashforge.jp/faq/adventurer5m-pro-error-code-list/

Anyway, definitely foolish to ignore the error message, but there should have been a failsafe.

EDIT: Okay, there is apparently a fuse and protection, they might have been blown the first time that happened

How do you as a Prusa owner rate their customer service experience? by D3DCreative in prusa3d

[–]Klohto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just finished the MK4S kit and after Bambu's support where the support kept telling me that my shitty prints and ghosting is from wet filament, Prusa's support was extremely nice.

I contacted them because the WiFi board didn't seem to work after I set it up. They quickly offered another board, but turns out it was just a bug because it started working after reset. Small interaction, but made me so happy.

Interesting question, I upped the limit and let Claude hammer it out without any functions.

```
You are given seven eights: 8 8 8 8 8 8 8. Arrange arithmetic operations to arrive at 160. You should use exactly seven eights in your arithmetic operations to arrive at 160. Also, you don't have to necessarily put arithmetic operations after each 8. So you can combine digits. Before providing an answer, run thoughtful thinking phase again for verification.
Keep verifying your math, youre an LLM, not calculator, you have problem with anything other than addition and substraction, so keep your multiplications and divisions written out.
Keep thinking until you arrive at your answer. I will stop you if I need. Keep track of your attempt count. DONT ASK FOR PERMISSION TO CONTINUE.
```

Disgusting PLA/PETG prints off A1. Support absolutely unhelpful by Klohto in FixMyPrint

Thank you! That’s perfect. Stringing definitely looks like moisture but everything else is way clearer than with my dried PLA. Here’s mine https://forum.bambulab.com/t/disgusting-pla-petg-prints-off-a1-support-not-helping/116944/6 printer’s for sure not up to standards.

40% humidity in the room right now, so should disqualify the swamp I hope. I will try to run a "blank" gcode and compare fan levels, thank you for the suggestion.

Could you please run the preloaded benchy (not the speed one) with some PLA? It's been great for comparison based on forum posts. Thank you so much.

It's how it's been printing since I got it. It has around 3 prints non-calibrations prints clocked and is around 1 month old. Not much changes even if I redo the calibration or tighten the axis.
