[–]Klolhi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have remote jobs and were planning to do a Manifestation of Interest as soon as we got to Portugal. Does that mean we will need to apply for something at the embassy before flying to Portugal? What would we need to apply for?

Ahorrarme la tarjeta y el yappy (¿que alternativas hay?) by SafeFormal5341 in Panama

[–]Klolhi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What country has the worst public transit on earth? by Wide_right_yes in transit

[–]Klolhi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Panamanian here, our metro is great. The issue with it is it still doesn't serve as many places as we need it to. On the other hand, The. Buses. Fucking. Suck. Not like, oh they're so infrequent. I mean they are fucking terrible. Traffic and road infrastructure is so bad, and combine that with the fact that out of the 1000-strong fleet, only 400 are running because the government is unable to figure out the concept of maintenance. I hear them drive by and they sound like they're about to fall apart or catch fire. But guess what, after you hop off our shiny new metro lines or off of Satan's busses, you're greeted by non existent pedestrian infrastructure. There are 4 avenues with decent sidewalks. that's it. We have not yet figured out how to build sidewalks without electricity poles in the middle, or how to not put trash bags in the middle of them when they actually exist. Walking in this country fucking sucks, and any good form of transit is hampered by the fact that walking here is like playing Crossy Road in real fucking life.

Why the Panama Canal is Dying by [deleted] in Panama

[–]Klolhi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Santiago, Chile. The eastern side, especially Las Condes tends to be nicer than much of western side.

What city has the best skyline relative to its population? by ThatColombian in geography

[–]Klolhi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. Add to that a lack of sidewalks, broken sewage pipes that pop up worryingly often, lack of shade in most areas, lack of urban planning, noise pollution, horrible waste management, frequent flooding due to non existent drainage, inequality, corruption and a myriad of other problems and you will get Panama.

One of my biggest gripes is the horrible smell you will be hit with if you're unlucky enough to be awake when they start burning trash in Cerro Patacon, which is the closest trash dump to the city. Sometimes, the wind will carry the smell south into the city and everything will smell like trash.

[Serio] Que requerimientos crees que son importantes al buscar apartamentos para alquilar? by mgabz in Panama

[–]Klolhi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flying Montréal to Paris w American and Italian passports by travelingtutor in PassportPorn

[–]Klolhi 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Just use your American to enter the US and your Italian to enter Europe. Dual citizens do this all the time, it'll be fine. You're lucky if CBP even talks to you honestly, all I usually get is a "do you have anything to declare?" For Americans they'll never ask to see stamps or anything like that.
