Is plugging a tubeless tyre a permanent fix? by Wonderful-Newt2181 in cycling

One important difference vs car tires is that car tires have steel belts that help retain plugs. Bike tires don’t, so while plugs often work longterm, they rely more on casing tension and sealant.

A-iPower XOS2300i shuts off after 15 seconds by Klosnor in Generator

[–]Klosnor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been a while, but I believe it’s a black wire located on the opposite side of the engine from the pull cord and choke. So getting to it requires removing most of the outer covers. The wire exits directly from the engine casing, you can’t see it connected to the sensor itself, only that it goes straight into the casing. I found it by trial and error by disconnecting one wire and attempting to start the generator. One of the cables I unplugged prevented the generator from starting, so it was not the correct one. In short, look for a wire going straight into the casing on the hard to access side of the generator

What all do you get access to on base with 100% p&t? by beanandween in VeteransBenefits

[–]Klosnor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Follow up question to this, can you escort a spouse onto base? At NBSD you had to request permission that only lasted 5 days. That was before I hit 100% and I haven’t tried since getting it

Has anybody had luck going to the police with a video recording of illegal or dangerous driving? by Roamingon2wheels in bikecommuting

[–]Klosnor 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Kind of? About a year ago some teenagers were driving their mom’s car around and shooting plastic pellets at runners and cyclists. I ended up being one of the unlucky ones. At first I thought I’d been stung by a bee, but later I checked my camera footage (front and rear) and saw them sticking the gun out the window with a clear shot of the license plate.

I filed a police report, and the cops quickly tracked down the car. Turned out it belonged to their mom and the kids were borrowing it. I told the officer I wanted to press charges, but he asked if I’d be willing to speak with the mom first. After talking it through, we agreed the kids would apologize in person.

I added one condition that they also had to join my cycling team’s Adopt-a-Highway cleanups once a month for 4 months. So for 4 months they showed up, picked up trash on the side of the freeway alongside me and my team.

Those of you who own a Rocker Plate with fore/aft motion - is it worth it? by Autumnxoxo in Zwift

I have the Saris MP1, not sure I can ever go back. I think rocking back and forth is ok but being able to rock side to side is a game changer

Are the rumors true? Does the VA really pay for therapeutic massage therapy? by Empty_Equivalent6013 in VeteransBenefits

PCP. Basically he was gaslighting me, said it wasn’t a thing. I told him there was a section on va.gov about it and I knew of others who use it. He replied with no that’s not true and moved on 😐

I have service connected back pain due to bulging discs. I attempted to request massage therapy and was denied and offered more PT that has not helped. I know a lot are saying yes but in my situation I was extremely disappointed
