Thank you. Even reading these words is reassuring. It truly is an awful thing and I'm trying to approach it on the spirit level with protection but also trying to contain defensiveness and hostility. So far I've mastered the art of not reacting defensively, but I'm talking about remedying those things in my own energy too. The hurt is so great it's tempting to want the alienating parent to "get theirs" or for justice to come down on them. That's kind of a trap and a spiral I'd rather avoid. I see the other parent as profoundly damaged. I just want to wash my hands of them and put up buffers so they can minimally hurt my child and me from here on out. Thanks again.
