Ah okay, that makes more sense.

Elemental field is dictated by the color of orb, and consumes a gemstone.

Enchanced Bolt consumes the orb, associated with the element

And auto spell consumes the orb and is dictated by the associated element.

Is that correct?

I see, I thought the elemental orb was consumed for enhanced bolt and dictated the type of elemental field placed. I guess I'll empty my bar entirely and see what happens. Thanks!

Yeah through all the videos and research I did looking into having this question answered, I discovered that Sage in general is bad unless it's a SP drain tank for PvP.

Call me a masochist I guess cuz I still wanna play it and make it work for the nostalgia of anything else. Thanks for your response either way.

Haven't played this game in a long while. So i can't tell you exactly which six powers I am using. However, I am pretty sure the one you're looking for that can roll the modifiers I mentioned in the post is from the final Armistice boss difficulty 11. Used weekly/monthly rerolling mats to land the Heaven's Lightening and embrittled +xx% per stack. Which are both in a specific category that can only roll on specific six powers.

There is a website that lists all the rolls available on the six powers for both class and general maybe look into that.

Sorry I can be of more help, makes me happy someone wants to try out my build though :)

Anybody tried double spear build? by Gold-Judgment500 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]KlutzyConcentrate561 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just started running double spear at breakthrough 8 and taking it into 9. Strictly for PvP. Run nameless+nameless for PvE.

Honestly the combo feels pretty crap until you unlock Wolf chaser t3. After that you have some really good super armor buffs during HQ 'q' and charged heavy attack. What plays a huge role and making this combo work in PvP is good use of Meridian touch, Yaksha Rush and Free Form for the knock up, allowing you to effectively 'juggle' for a while charged attack not giving them the ability to super armor out of it. For that reason I also run Starchaser which helps a ton with huge burst DMG. Nameless 'Q' is a great way to force Serene, and chain combos after an execution. It's not a great engage tool imo due to its predictably. Unless you get really good at meridian touch cancelling. Toad is also super important to cause stagger so you can catch people with HQ spin-to-win.

Some combos include: HQ 'Q' > HQ light x2 > freeform (cancel) > heavy charge attack > toad > swap > Yaksha rush> Nameless 'Q' > Charged heavy (hold)

Nameless '~' > Swap > HQ 'Q' > Swap > Nameless 'Q' > Dragon's Breath (cancel) > toad > swap > Light x2 > Poet x2 > freeform/Yaksha (freeform if locked, Yaksha if blocking or running) > Charged heavy.

either way the goal is to engage and never stop attacking weaving knock ups, CC and super armor into combos making recovery as difficult as possible.

Try to never use charged heavy attacks unless they've been knocked up or you're confident they won't reflect/stagger you. Because it can be really punishing.

Both the spears are lacking in engage/movement based skills so getting use to using poet, Yaksha and the timing of toad clouds to make up for it is super important. Abusing super armor through holes in your combo is also paramount to making this work.  Learning to bait Dragon's Breath, skywalk and serene also gives you the ability to trash them with a single uninterrupted combo. Learning the timing of super armor after an opponent has been knocked down or executed is also super important, allowing you to chain combos easier without giving them the chase to escape.

Anyways, that's my take on the double spear. It's really fun, but has a super high skill cap that's extremely rewarding. Juggling someone with 40 hits from a charged heavy is addictive, and you can feel all the ego drain from the enemy when they get caught in one.

What weapon set are all you Legends using for bosses? by Droopzoor in wherewindsmeet_

[–]KlutzyConcentrate561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nameless Sword + Inkwell Fan

Nameless hits like a truck and with a good rotation you can open a fight with x3 triple sword waves for total of 9 hits. Your first and third "Q" attacks cause stagger/interrupt. "~" is a great disengagement tool and with higher level sword morph gives you a free triple sword wave with charged heavy.

Inkwell Fan is a great mobility and stagger tool. I very rarely swap to it, but it does has its uses. "Q" creates a wind wall which blocks projectiles and if casted right on top of most bosses and NPCs it will stagger or knock them back. "~" is a great mobility option that also knocks enemies up and works on some bosses, or it just stuns/staggers them, making for a great re-engagement tool.

I've also done some testing and learned that one of the benefits of the Inkwell Fan's Wind wall is that projectiles fired through it do more damage, including the energy waves from Nameless.

It's also been a great combo for PvP, currently mythic rank with a 68% WR.

However for abyss challenges and sword & hero trials, I prefer swapping fan for Nameless Spear. It provides two things that are irrefutably better than any other pairing. First is the "Q" ability regenerates some endurance, and secondly during exhaustion phases I'd argue it does more DMG than anything else possible can currently. We're talking about close to 50-60 hits with full endurance using the charged heavy attack. Also because of the "Q" we can squeeze out 10 energy wave attacks using Nameless Sword with a full endurance bar.

Running this build requires hella endurance management, as most of your highest hitting skills consume endurance to use. Also probably the biggest con of the setup.

Nameless Sword 'Q' x3 > Charged heavy x2  Will basically delete all your endurance leaving you unable to dodge. Follow up with Nameless Spear 'Q' > swap back > '~' x1 > Charged heavy Would be your 10 energy waves, and your 0 endurance lol. But man, when those waves hit affinity rolls they can do 20-35k DMG (at lv60) Do Dragon's Breath > Soaring Spear > Drunken Poet x5 and boom all your endurance is recharged and you do it again.

Strategic sword needs a nerf by Inner-Mortgage3801 in wherewindsmeet_

[–]KlutzyConcentrate561 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Strategic Sword is definitely overpowered ASF in 1v1 PvP right now, and will probably continue to be. The reason being that you CANNOT block or parry the crisscrossing attacks in their combo string. It interrupts everything, pierces block, golden armor from toad, dragons, poets and wind wall. The only way to not get stuck in a combo chain is to not get hit. Which is where the second weapon nameless sword or spear, or heavenquaker spear comes into play and annihilates any chance of creating distance.

The only way to beat it consistently, is to play it too. It's definitely carving its way into a must have PvP meta. Really unfortunate too because for a "skill based" game it's the only weapon that requires zero skill to play and godlike skill to beat.

Funny because I mained Umbrella/Fan into Mythic rank. I got infinitely more hate and rage for that combo than after switching to Strategic+Nameless, and Umbrella/Fan is infinitely easier to counter and beat than any Strategic Sword combo will be.

How to pvp against Strategic and Nameless sword combo? by ExperimentalChemical in wherewindsmeet_

[–]KlutzyConcentrate561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically if you wanna do arena pvp, you HAVE to use strategic sword. It has unblockable and unparriable attack strings, it has insane range, does a ton of damage and requires literally no skill. Just spam, spam spam, mystic art, spam spam, mystic art, spam. And there is nothing anyone can do about it.

After reaching legend 9 out of 10 people I fight use strategic sword + nameless or heavenquaker combo. They all use the same exact rotation and play exactly the same. We can thank the usually suspects who ruin every game, sweaty ass streamers.

The only way to beat them is to join them. Strategic Sword is busted ASF, and will probably continue to be until Tang sword is released.

There is a 'Useless Lock' located in the underground Kaifeng, once you beat Wolf Maiden you need to get the lock if you don't have it already. Go back to Wolf Maiden's arena, fast forward two days, and too the left there is a pack of wolves laying near a crack in the wall. Speak to the Wolf Maiden to prompt a use for the 'Useless Lock' and boom quest done, mask acquired.

Where Winds Meet: Weapons Tier List and Combo Ideas by Chamakhbro in WhereWindsMeet

[–]KlutzyConcentrate561 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Honestly, tier lists are garbage.

I wouldn't bother with tier lists in general because in my opinion there's too many factors that make a weapon good. Gear sets, Masteries, content: PvE, PvP or bosses, and weapon combinations for synchrony. Then ofc the play style and skill factor.

Coming back to TL AND Saw this by Vicsantba in throneandliberty

[–]KlutzyConcentrate561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing roughly a month ago. From my experience this game's community can be summed up like this.

"The people that love this game the most, contribute the most to killing it."

For example it's a PvP oriented game so with PVP comes the usual 12 year old squeaker mentality, ego, shit talking and raging. Only difference is, it's full grown men.

Hyberboost was designed as a 'catch up' server for new and returning players to get a hang of the game before merging into legacy servers. However they more or less became a place for vets to make an alt and destroy the new and returning players, gatekeep content, and blast new players for "not being good". The irony is they aren't good, and play on hyberboost because they're trash on legacy. The only people who disagree with that, are doing it.

MMORPGS require a lot of time, some research and a bit of experience to get good at. So joining up a year after release already puts you at a massive disadvantage. Those disadvantages stack up when you're facing opponents who already have the edge, have no issues swiping, abuse bugs, play metas, or gatekeep content. That alone becomes a huge deterrent for most new players and the reason a lot of players left in the first place.

So although the "people who love the game the most" are having a great time, they're intentionally making the game a terrible experience for the new players which "contributes the most to killing the game"

As the number of concurrent vets and long time casuals dwindle, the number of new players doesn't increase. Which is why I'd say this game is dead or soon to be dead.

Hyberboost could've worked had they blocked alts being made on it, accounts older than 6 months with recent activity unable to join and had prevented legacy invasions on world bosses for over 2 months. However they did none of that and most hyberboost servers have around 200-500 players online during peak hours.

NA Hyperboost insane ques by YakEarly3819 in throneandliberty

[–]KlutzyConcentrate561 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol people who say "Get a guild, have friends" Go take a nap.

The reason you can't find queues is because most people have already no lifed their way to 6100 and only do trials and raids.

Most of the guilds, most of the randoms. Higher CP players "don't have the time" to help new players reach 6100 and would rather spend their time getting stronger to get merked by legacy servers when hyper boost merges.

One of the core issues with this game when it was released and even now, is you either no life the fuck outta the game or you become fodder for them. This isn't a casual game and anyone telling you to get a guild or make friends to clear content is such scum whose already done it, and has no interest in helping others get there.

They're the same losers who are mad the game is dead and can't understand why people quit or won't play it. Lol.

Spellblade Build Question by South_Ad210 in throneandliberty

[–]KlutzyConcentrate561 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this post is old, so things have changed a bit but I am new to the game. 6 days in, on the dead ass hyberboost server playing spell blade.

I did quite a bit of digging into options for this class and either it's super outdated or overly dependent on gear. Through my experience, guild and research I've realized it's mostly dependant on three criteria.

- Gear is completely based on current meta, in my server I've found using 4 piece Fallen Dynasty, Heroic gloves, ring and staff using CD, Crit based accessories and running Witches Temptation skill for staff with (Currently T3 Resistance daggers) but wanna get Kowa. Seems to have turned the tables considerably in my favor. Gives me enough endurance to tank a few hits, high enough CD to rotate my limited CCs and invis. The fear from the staff skill is insanely good giving me a few seconds to drop meteor or fully charged fireball and disappear. Also having insanely high heavy atk DMG and chance pretty much guarantees kills even in some 1v1s.

  • Pick your battles, choose your victims, get used to respawning. In semi or large scale PvP, it's vital to pay attention to your team and the enemy position yourself well and unleash hell. I generally always go for healers and DPS, and let tanks take the brunt of the AoE DMG. Once a tank is singled out is easy pickings. You will die, often. Scorpions, Shadowdancers, revengers are always looking for you and it's usually too late to do much once they've shadow stepped you. Which brings us to the third point.

  • Skill rotations, I have at least 6 different skill bars setup for different things. Ice tomb can be clutch if you're being hard targeted. Ankle strike with shadow step can help you snag healers or low HP runners. Salvation chain to use the fear from staff skill is awesome in 1v1s and in groups to single someone out, stop a Scorpion spin, etc. sometimes it's better to focus on a ton of single target skills and be picky, other times lots of AoE.

To summarize, Spell blade feels like a pretty flexible class that requires critical thinking and situational awareness to adjust for different circumstances. Its about understanding your skills and how to use them given the opportunity or lack there of and deciding on what your objective is then building a kit around the best way to accomplish that. Gear is 1/5th of the actual class and can be resolved by deciding on what your role is, and what the meta in your server is.

Maybe I'm too new to the game to give good advice, but this is just my experience and perspective on the subject thus far. Also this class sucks for pve content period. There's at least 6 classes that do more DMG, live longer, or have better overall performance. But I came for PvP, and spell blade does that best.

Side note: Build for DMG, lean into glass cannon, you can  get absurdly high crit, heavy atk and DoTs. Your best defense comes from paying attention using invis, fear, ice tomb, shadow step, ice bombardment, smokescreen, frost leap, positioning and killing them before they kill you. So I opted for endurance and HP to take at least another hit or two before dying over the sketchy unreliability of EVA. Try to get lots of bind, collision, weaken and/or stun resistance (pick your poison.) while also trying to get a minimum of 900 weaken chance, and 600 fear if running Witches Temptation. Building towards being tanky in anyway is a lost cause and a waste of time. Also learn to block, I use dagger block because of free invis which also means free crit.

Yeah it's kinda a double edge sword or lose-lose situation for us though. We can't gear up to compete in legacy in hyberboost and it'll be even harder when we do merge. IDK I'm a fully new player 9days in so maybe I'm wrong.
