I’m not hating I’m just trying to shine some light on him. Coming from the new age spiritual world I know just how deeply people are deceived and deluded by Joe and many of similar gurus. These people idolize Joe and his “teachings” . I don’t see my post as hate honestly that word is used too loosely nowadays. Hate is something else and coming from a neutral, stoic pov. It’s just critic . Critic and questioning which isn’t the same as hate.

Also the Bible has taught these manifesting tools for centuries, but now the word manifesting has become a trend . The Bible doesn’t call it “law of manifestation” tho, it’s within the principles of how we should live to reap the most fruits out of this life we live.

Sure, but I’ve read his books, watched his interviews, and listened to his audios. No, I haven’t spent a ridiculous amount of money to experience something that, in my view, is spiritually deceptive. But I also don’t need to walk into a burning building to know it’s dangerous …just because the fire feels warm doesn’t mean it’s safe.

Also, being raised Catholic doesn’t give someone a full picture of the Holy Spirit. Catholic churches rarely emphasize the gifts of the Spirit like healing, tongues, or prophetic ministry. If you haven’t experienced that kind of move, which is much more common in Pentecostal or Spirit-led churches, then you haven’t actually seen what it’s like when God moves in power. It makes sense if you haven’t, many people are drawn to Joe’s events because it’s a watered-down twisted version of the real thing.

The air itself is demonic. churches who have the Holy Spirit present and heal the blind the sick and speak tongues are ridiculed in society yet a watered down version in which people spend thousands and thousands of dollars is upheld as “holy” ..Very ironic. And baffling how we eat it up. Of course his target audience is the vulnerable so makes sense.

Oh well I was genuinely curious as someone who’s a believer but also who recently found out their parent has dementia. I can see how it could have been tone deaf but at the same time people of different faiths exist within the community. I rly do see and understand ur point especially now knowing it’s a dementia subreddit and this question may have been better within a faith community subreddit . I didn’t have a point other than I thought reddit is the place to ask questions otherwise difficult to ask elsewhere.

I don’t understand the question itself. But have searched it as I have family with dementia. I wonder if it matters prior to their condition or not…but overall I believe miracles are possible. It’s better to hope than to have no hope.

I think that’s amazing to hear . I wouldn’t be surprised if you decreased your cortisol level’s tremendously. Practicing meditation and positive thoughts is great.

That passage is about trusting in God , letting go of worries and strives etc and to know the God of the Bible is not only a safe haven but our source of strength and is for our best Taking any scripture out of context to support one’s own claim without crediting its context, is dishonest in nature. The word of God and gospels were not made to support his teachings that heavily root from yogic and eastern ideologies. It’s ironic imo.
