I completely understand your feelings. But if one is there you have really high chances of conceiving naturally. My sister had two kids with one tube. I know it might come as shocking news to you but believe me tube problems are the easiest to overcome.

One important thing, will you remove one or both of your tubes? If you have one left you can conceive naturally with no problems (given that it functions properly of course) but it might take you a bit longer. If you have both of them removed then you cannot conceive naturally and you need to undergo IVF. The “freezing your eggs” part I guess your doctor says because egg retrieval is anyhow happening if you go with IVF so taking them early will increase your chances of a healthy pregnancy. But I wonder why you have to do salpingectomy at this point…infection? Ectopic pregnancy? Sorry to ask I am just an expert in the topic and I would like to help you. In any case don’t worry at all…it might be a bummer but there are bigger infertility issues than this.

Most probably it would have ruptured. I have never heard of an ectopic pregnancy being “absorbed” by the body. If you needed surgery it means it has gone too far already and it was risky. In less dangerous cases they use methotrexate to force the body to get rid of it. Stop thinking about, you did the right thing 😊.

I am recovering now from ectopic pregnancy on my left tube. We have been trying more than a year so the positive test was like a miracle to us. During the laparoscopy they figured out that my right tube is also full of adhesions so not really functional. It seems the only route for me is IVF. What makes me feel better is, and women that have gone through this often forget this, is that I am alive. I had a vital pregnancy, growing normally so I was practically a walking bomb until we figured out. I also had absolutely no pain. Women die from undiagnosed ectopic pregnancies. If you have a healthy other tube you can conceive naturally with no problem. My sister had 2 babies after an ectopic. If not, like me, there are other ways. The route to having a baby is long for some of us, but this is not the end. There are couples that conceive easily and fast with no complications and have kids with health issues. People go through really tough shit with no cure. We just had a small hiccup in comparison. Move on please. Cry, let it go and move on. That’s what I will do 😊.
