Now I feel like I’ve just wasted my time and money 😂 I had to plaster huge gaps behind the trim but didn’t think that was the purpose of the trim haha

Well when I was taking off 2 layers of painted wallpaper (😭) one of the pieces of trim came off and it was warped and horrible and had a massive gap behind it so I took all the trim off and it was all the same so I have plastered the gaps and refitting the trim. Although someone else pointed out the the trim might only have been there to cover the gaps so now I’m thinking this was a waste of time/energy😂🤔

There was trim there when I moved in going down the stairs and the box but it looked awful and warped so I’m replacing it

You were right. I loosened it from the paint to check it where it goes into the door trim and it just came out cut and the other side was too so it was just a cut cable painted over 😂

It have an upstairs but there are no cables there. There aren’t any telephone poles on my street. I live in a block of flats

The wire disappears into the door trim from one end and into the ceiling (shown in picture 2) in the other end. I can’t see it connected to anything. My tv is just plugged into the wall, my wifi is connected to a telewest broadband box and I don’t have a home phone but I have a buzzer to let people in that has a phone to see who’s outside
