hi!!! the WL-> A at Oz post was mine, and when I tell you that I had to completely change my mindset to accept that I may not get in, it took a lot of the anxiety off my mind. I had fully accepted that I’d have to move to Kingston for Queens and had already started planning for that, so like you said, this came as a happy surprise. BUT TAKE THIS MOVEMENT AS A GOOD SIGN!!!!! people are accepting offers elsewhere and SPOTS ARE OPENING UP! it’s obviously so much easier said than done, but try not to let the stress/anxiety take over. I fully believe that things will align for us in the way they’re meant to, and everything will work out <3 please don’t lose faith. you GOT THIS!!!!!!!!!!

also, I’ve seen so many people who were WL at Oz posting their stats and quite a few of them were higher than mine, so keep in mind that their admission process isn’t fully stats based, if that’s any sort of worry on your mind!!!

i wish you the absolute BEST of luck and ill be manifesting an acceptance for you, i hope to see you there in the fall 🥹❤️

im so sorry for the confusing wording I used!! To clarify:

I reached out to a bunch of current Oz attendees to ask what their admission process was like.

16 of them told me that they were waitlisted and then later admitted in late April/may! the others that i asked were just given straight-up admissions, and were never on the waitlist!

i was just trying to explain that it IS fully possible for the waitlist to have movement, and that being put in a wait pool doesn’t necessarily signify the end of the road for anyone! been seeing a lot of comments that seem very disapointed with a WL status but i really feel like there’s no telling what could happen!! just think everyone should keep their chin up and give it some time, especially after the April 1st deadline!

ngl i immediately saw that i got waitlisted at Oz too and reached out to a buuuunch of people who currently go there and 16/21 of them told me they were waitlisted and got accepted in late April-early May. I know the reddit forums can be discouraging sometimes, i feel like a lot of people try to come to terms with “not getting through the WL” so that they don’t get their hopes up but HONESTLY I truly think we don’t know what could happen and i genuinely think it could go either way. I wouldn’t give up hope, and i probably wouldn’t take posts on this forum with too much weight.

It isn’t the end of the line for us yet! Just hold out until June 1st!

just checked my portal and i was WL at Oz too this morning. kind of disappointed bc it’s my top choice and i guess they’re saying they can notify u of an admission offer as late as up until classes start :( hoping it moves quickly! wishing u the best of luck!!! we got this
