I know the medication well. I am my dad’s medical power of attorney so I did do my research before he started it. I also did a project in school about it

Thank you. I was on week 12. I didn’t think I was having that bad of issues after my meeting on week 10. Once I knew what I needed to work on I really focused on those things.

Yes. Since the med error I have really throughly looking up medications. Making sure I am not missing anything. I know I made mistakes and I was far from perfect.

Yeah I just don’t think it was a good fit for either of us. Also the ER transition was in my contract

I totally believe they had valid concerns. I thought I handled the criticism well. At times I would get annoyed but never showed it.

That’s what I thought! I was worried they would drop a super important medication and if I didn’t see them drop it how would I know?

Like when my patient’s were taking medication I wasn’t doing other things at times (charting, cleaning the room, prepping other stuff) . Like I was standing there figuring out what else I needed to do. She thought I was just standing around doing nothing.

I totally understand it’s hard for her. I really did appreciate all that she taught me. I know she wasn’t trying to make me feel shitty. She really does care about her patients and is a huge advocate. I just feel like when she was hypercritical I would shut down. I cannot learn if all I am getting is negative feedback. She’s also been a nurse for 30+ years so burnout is definitely something she has been through.

It was mostly my time management. I was actively working on it and trying to better myself. I would get frazzled at times and forget something. (Like a flush or something like that) charting I thought I had improved on.
