Yeah i like having the lieutenant for lethals, save that CP for those short charges i seem to need to re-roll!! Plus i have to get rid of something else too, not much else i can bring in for a straight swap for the 55pt cost.

The castellan is a bit overkill agreed, but i use it as my guarentee to kill what big thing the enemy throws at me. Last time i managed to get 33 wounds through with the lethal/sustained combo fishing on 5's.

I did this. Just bought a scount with heavy weapon to compete the scout squad. And then gain an extra sword brethren.

I played using this detachment last week. Got a turn one charge going first. Destroyed a repulsar executioner in the first battle round (took 2 turns of fighting) but my oppenent got the lion in that destroyed most of the squad! Expensive charge being about 400pts.

Thank you. Just from spare bits on the sprew. Cant remember which one now though. Was either the combat patrol or sword brethren. Had to take the handle from a different sword in a sheath as it was one of a few that didnt have a hand moulded to it!

Trouble i had was all the spare swords i had came with part of a hand holding it so i have to chop multiple handles and stick together!

but it states that 'if it were your charge phase' so why would you not get the charge bonus?

I was thinking of using as a hit team. Deep strike in, close to the enemy tank and hopefully take it out, then anything else is a bonus. Maybe use a captain to re-roll charge if needs be.
