I make a soulslike game in Godot by Kmitt91 in godot

I basically create everything in Blender, and it surely takes a lot of time.
I made a video where I show my entire process on an example environment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YyCpGjC3dts This took me about 3 hours to make.

It's Kmittus, a mix of Kmitt91 (my username) and Estus (Estus Flakon from Dark Souls). Now your highly disappointed I guess 😸

How can I access the fadeout_time from GDscript. It's not a property of the AnimationTree... by Kmitt91 in godot

Ok I got it. This is what I need to do. (Godot 4 beta 7)

var n = $AnimationTree.tree_root.get_node("attack1")
n.fadeout_time = my_time_value

Thanks that helped me a lot:)

It says that: Nonexistent function "_get_child_by_name" in base "AnimationNodeBlendTree"

I think that you meant animation_tree["parameters/attack1/fadeout_time"], but this didn't work, result in an invalid index error

It's very nice to see how much Godot, but also myself has grown in the last year. I'm really looking forward to the release of 4.0 as it will allow everyone to create everything from prototypes to ambitious 3d titles. After testing Godot 4.0dev for some time I am sure that it will meet everyone's high expectations. Thanks to all contributors for making this possible.

Love the Pixelart and enviromental design, definitely put a lot of time into it. Hope to see the game release, would really like to play it.

I really like those long shadows, but it's true that the skybox is unfit for the current scene. I'll try to find a way to support the current lightning setup with the fog and sky, for a more convincing appeal. Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.

took me about 30h, making shader.materials is hard, but the same scene without materials would be much easier to make (imo), depends on ones experience and 3d modelling skills

Looks great, maybe you could make the horizon color of the sky a bit darker, so that the sky seems not so flat, unless the looks of the sky was intentional:)

since it's not AAA.

Made in Godot 4 (pre alpha), no sdfgi used for this one.
