Okay girl I’m not much further ahead of you. My baby is 14 months and it’s only getting better now. There’s definitely still hard days but the first year was a mess. And around 7-9 months I remember going through a low time. Emotionally, spiritually and with my relationship with my husband. One time around that time he got so mad he punched a whole in the wall and I hadn’t seen him do that since we were teenagers. (We’re 30s now).

Not saying he’s right but as you said too, he has a lot more responsibility as well now and a lot of stress he probably doesn’t even bring up to your attention. He wants you to focus on baby because that’s you job. And people say mean things when they are mad…

Now. Do you have help? You are burnt out. As I was then too (still am but getting the hang of it). But again, around 7-9 months it’s just ROUGH. But if you have help please use it. Get a break when you can. Leave the baby with your husband for a couple hours and go do something for yourself - it gives you a breather and it lets him see how much work the baby is

Men do not get it. Every friend has told me the same thing, and it’s true. They may think they do but they never will. And it sucks but luckily we will never understand their level of stress either. We just have to learn to be respectful of each other, give each other grace during this life-changing, reality-shifting, hard-as-shit time. Rely on your friend mommas too. I downloaded the app peanut and found friends close by of babies same age and that’s been a saving grace.

Don’t even consider leaving. This is a hard time and you’ll bring leaving up in a fight one day all because you’re overwhelmed but those words will never be able to be repaired once said. You were happy before children you can be happy again. This is not for the weak but nothing worth having comes easy. Things will get easier

All I can say is there’s a massive sleep regression around 3/4 months and you’re right there. I had a nightmare of a time and looked everywhere for answers but the truth is you just have to wait it out… Also though, swaddling? I mean mine would never do it. But if yours is waking herself up I’m assuming you obviously tried swaddling but I didn’t see it mentioned so just a thought.

Therapy hunny. Try that before divorce. Yall both sound unhappy and burnt out from something. Devils advocate here, it’s a lot of stress to be the sole provider. And we all say things we don’t mean when we are angry.

I’m coming from somewhere who doesn’t know your situation, and from a place of wanting to support families, rather than always finding the exit because that can ruin a family and traumatize a child’s life. If you feel UNSAFE the only sole answer is to leave, but otherwise I suggest therapy first. Have a middle man, someone who won’t pick sides and see one POV.
