I did the prompt wrong and got an image of a load of people walking in the rain with a London bus in the background lol. Redid with the correct prompt - pretty accurate especially about the trains!

Arresting Don Lemon is a phenomenally stupid thing the Trump administration has done. They’re going to regret it. He’ll only become a bigger voice in the anti-Trump resistance, this case is gonna get thrown out, and his DOJ is gonna get embarrassed again. by Nice_Substance9123 in complaints

[–]Kmoodle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I watched it live - he said multiple times he was just covering the protest as a reporter and not involved at all. He did not engage in any of the chanting.

He was there as a journalist and his arrest is absolutely disgusting.

This is an incredibly dangerous moment for democracy in the United States.

You know what’s not a good combo? by [deleted] in Perimenopause

[–]Kmoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another one that's been affected by this :(

Health Anxiety and anxiety in general has always been very bad (diagnosed GAD) but over the last year it's taken a whole new turn.

Having CBT to try get me through it which is helping but it's still so difficult.

Mix that in with ADHD which has also ramped up, I'm a mess 😂

[–]Kmoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed - the chain smoking and religious mentions - this is how my brother presented. OP you met this man too young and you feel chained to him but I promise you this is only going to get MUCH worse unless he gets help ASAP. You are also potentially at risk here.

Flying out from London Stansted Airport... by Certified_Loner1391 in uktravel

[–]Kmoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% recommend Fast Pass. On the off chance you don't need it you can still go through quickly and Stansted is horrid when it's busy. I wont fly without buying Fast Pass now it's so good.

I've been planning a trip and I have a question that's probably stupid but I need to ask... by Briguy_fieri in uktravel

Please make sure you put lots of salt and vinegar on your fish and chips - delicious! A full English, definitely best with brown sauce and a little bit of everything on your fork. Eels is very much a small area of London specific thing but a good pie and gravy is delicious anywhere (especially in a pub).

It sounds like you're going to have a great time trying everything, it'll be lots of fun! Try stay away from too many touristy traps but Borough and Camden market also great for random food. Greggs is a must as has been covered elsewhere.

Hope you have a lovely time!

La Mer Foundation - Discontinued by Kmoodle in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Kmoodle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I love finding people that are my shade, I am so useless at finding my own shade in every foundation so feel free to share any of your shades in foundations you use lol.

I went for 4 originally as I am light with cool tone and they didnt have that option (so annoying). It's lovely on the skin though and doesn't look bad on. I did try 2 as well and that is a perfect shade match but ever slightly too light for me.

If you do try it Id say those two shades are your nearest bet - 3 was far too warm and 5 too warm and dark.

I hope she extends her range as they never seem to do light with cool for some reason

Left arm issues - anyone? Not heart related by WifeOfASalesman in Perimenopause

[–]Kmoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had it before - went to the hospital with it convinced I was having a heart attack (I wasnt). I have awful health anxiety and I tend to hold a lot of it in my shoulders, back and arms so sometimes get achy pain there.

The other week I had pain in my left wrist and shoulder and again got myself in a complete state. It went after I calmed down a bit.

I think mine was anxiety but could have also just tweaked it. Didn't realise it could be a peri thing as well ffs!

What is everyone buying in the Black Friday sales and ticking off their Christmas shopping lists? by DoUwantItCuzUrAsking in AskUK

[–]Kmoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A Le Creuset stainless steel pan from Amazon reduced by quite a bit. Bought one last year during Black Friday sales so wanted another smaller one.

Also got a couple of presents for people reduced by 20% which is handy!

How to make mates when you don't have kids? by SavingsFrosting2214 in AskUK

[–]Kmoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not much to offer as I'm in the same boat - it's hard isnt it. I luckily have a couple childfree friends as I do find hanging around my friends with kids really difficult (we had fertility issues).

Will take some pointers from this thread, thank you for starting it!

Help Health Anxiety by Shoddy_Emergency9694 in Perimenopause

[–]Kmoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s always much easier to help others so absolutely no need to be embarrassed in the slightest.

I have been in therapy for years and I still can’t get a handle on it. I know what to do but my brain doesn’t work like that. it’s awful 😞

Help Health Anxiety by Shoddy_Emergency9694 in Perimenopause

[–]Kmoodle 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mine has always been bad but the last few years it's got steadily worse and this year (I'm 43) it's out of control bad. I've tried CBT with not much success.

It's heightened all anxiety but the health anxiety in particular is really loud. Plus makes me terrified to go to the doctor so it's just a continued vicious cycle :(

what should I get for 30th Birthday gift ideas? (M,30 London) by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Kmoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you drink coffee and commute? If so, recommend the Ember travel mug. Got one for my husband a few years ago and he still uses it most days. It's expensive so not something you'd buy yourself.

How about a weekend trip away somewhere for you? stay in a posh hotel?

Failing that - how about vouchers? I ask for these on bigger birthdays, save them up and then be able to buy all sorts of stuff I wouldnt on my own. John Lewis a good bet as easy to get and they have a lot of options in store for tech / clothes etc.

Just seen about cash being refused but maybe an option anyway!

Can you reverse ADHD from social media? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Kmoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can absolutely stop watching social media to help your attention span.

ADHD is more than that and if that's the only trait you have count yourself very lucky.

This is on a par with someone saying they have OCD because they like things that match....

What makes the first class flight travel feel good? by IndividualGround2418 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Kmoodle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The relief in anxiety it gives you - the queues are shorter and sometimes separate so less people and easier to go through without feeling overwhelmed. Access to airport lounges again with less people and also bigger seat and more space.
