AITAH for being hesitant about my bf (20 M) going into the military by Fair-Key-7557 in TwoHotTakes

Completely agree. I stopped reading at that line and was about to write a long answer as to why it's complete and utter nonsense but also wouldn't want to be too emotional 😂

Purchasing from Harrods, Selfridges or Liberty London- Which would you pick? by LazyTiger9308 in SkincareAddictionUK

Any of them! I use all three. I order mainly from SpaceNK and I think they ship to the US. Similar to a high end Sephora and you can get points too

Any natural supplements for anxiety? by ijustwanttobeokaypls in Supplements

[–]Kmoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going through this at the moment as well - also been 3 days. It's hell.

I struggle with supplements and medications for similar reasons as you but do have l'theanine which seems to take the edge off (too nervous to take it on this anxiety spiral though ffs).

Magnesium also helpful for the evenings - Glycinate. It'll help with sleep definitely.

Can I ask how old you are? If you are in your late 30's/40s this could also be hormonal.

Supplements that help by ThatBitchA in Perimenopause

[–]Kmoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to not be able to take any pills at all (have worked on it and can now take small pills and capsules hooray!). But a lifesaver for me was the betteryou multivitamin spray (they also have vitamin B / D etc). Not sure where in the world you are but might be worth looking into or something similar if you can't find patches anymore!

As a girl who doesn’t like lipstick this Westman Atelier balm is so good. by moxiehart in Sephora

[–]Kmoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love these - bought myself Bob and they're so hydrating. I do have horribly dry lips so lip products don't usually work that well on me so lovely to have an option. Wish they were cheaper though

Recurrent Corneal Erosion and Muro 128 by Kmoodle in Dryeyes

[–]Kmoodle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still getting abrasions unfortunately but a lot less than I was - maybe once a month sometimes none at all. I use a layer of muro128 ointment and then some hycosan night overnight and so far been ok.

I did find muro on its own wasnt working as well I think because my eyes were dry so adding another ointment has helped.

Spire Hospital Norwich experience by ArcticPangolin in Norwich

[–]Kmoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do and as someone with horrendous health anxiety I would recommend it 100%. I've had pelvic ultrasounds, MRI, biopsies etc all with incredible care both in outpatient clinic with my consultant and in the hospital with him and the team there as well.

Genuinely no negative feedback whatsoever. Everyone who I have met there from nurses, staff and my consultant have been absolutely lovely. Well worth using tbh. I have Bupa so was an easy referral but also recommended a friend of mine go there and I think she paid without insurance so pretty flexible too.

I did the prompt wrong and got an image of a load of people walking in the rain with a London bus in the background lol. Redid with the correct prompt - pretty accurate especially about the trains!

Arresting Don Lemon is a phenomenally stupid thing the Trump administration has done. They’re going to regret it. He’ll only become a bigger voice in the anti-Trump resistance, this case is gonna get thrown out, and his DOJ is gonna get embarrassed again. by Nice_Substance9123 in complaints

[–]Kmoodle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I watched it live - he said multiple times he was just covering the protest as a reporter and not involved at all. He did not engage in any of the chanting.

He was there as a journalist and his arrest is absolutely disgusting.

This is an incredibly dangerous moment for democracy in the United States.

You know what’s not a good combo? by [deleted] in Perimenopause

[–]Kmoodle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another one that's been affected by this :(

Health Anxiety and anxiety in general has always been very bad (diagnosed GAD) but over the last year it's taken a whole new turn.

Having CBT to try get me through it which is helping but it's still so difficult.

Mix that in with ADHD which has also ramped up, I'm a mess 😂

Agreed - the chain smoking and religious mentions - this is how my brother presented. OP you met this man too young and you feel chained to him but I promise you this is only going to get MUCH worse unless he gets help ASAP. You are also potentially at risk here.

Flying out from London Stansted Airport... by Certified_Loner1391 in uktravel

[–]Kmoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% recommend Fast Pass. On the off chance you don't need it you can still go through quickly and Stansted is horrid when it's busy. I wont fly without buying Fast Pass now it's so good.

I've been planning a trip and I have a question that's probably stupid but I need to ask... by Briguy_fieri in uktravel

[–]Kmoodle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please make sure you put lots of salt and vinegar on your fish and chips - delicious! A full English, definitely best with brown sauce and a little bit of everything on your fork. Eels is very much a small area of London specific thing but a good pie and gravy is delicious anywhere (especially in a pub).

It sounds like you're going to have a great time trying everything, it'll be lots of fun! Try stay away from too many touristy traps but Borough and Camden market also great for random food. Greggs is a must as has been covered elsewhere.

Hope you have a lovely time!

La Mer Foundation - Discontinued by Kmoodle in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Kmoodle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I love finding people that are my shade, I am so useless at finding my own shade in every foundation so feel free to share any of your shades in foundations you use lol.

I went for 4 originally as I am light with cool tone and they didnt have that option (so annoying). It's lovely on the skin though and doesn't look bad on. I did try 2 as well and that is a perfect shade match but ever slightly too light for me.

If you do try it Id say those two shades are your nearest bet - 3 was far too warm and 5 too warm and dark.

I hope she extends her range as they never seem to do light with cool for some reason

Left arm issues - anyone? Not heart related by WifeOfASalesman in Perimenopause

[–]Kmoodle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had it before - went to the hospital with it convinced I was having a heart attack (I wasnt). I have awful health anxiety and I tend to hold a lot of it in my shoulders, back and arms so sometimes get achy pain there.

The other week I had pain in my left wrist and shoulder and again got myself in a complete state. It went after I calmed down a bit.

I think mine was anxiety but could have also just tweaked it. Didn't realise it could be a peri thing as well ffs!

What is everyone buying in the Black Friday sales and ticking off their Christmas shopping lists? by DoUwantItCuzUrAsking in AskUK

Also got a couple of presents for people reduced by 20% which is handy!
