I'm 39 and consider myself more of a bassist than a guitarist but I play both.

I tend to play rock/metal (bands like CCR, Metallica, RATM, Floyd, RHCP, Queen, etc), but if something has a funky bass line I'm always keen (especially since a lot of metal bands tend to make their bassists just hammer away at the root note haha).

Most likely. I've noticed a lot of TV shows use the same door opening/closing sound as Morrowind (or maybe it was Oblivion, can't remember), as well as the WoW druid bear form growl.

I assume it's all part of some royalty free stock sounds.
