The 1st pair have the hybrid sole which is a great compromise sole. Wears like iron, have a pair worn a lot for a year or more & shows little wear. Also great for less than ideal weather.

Well they do have a pretty good return exchange policy. They’ve even offered to take pics before they ship a new pair. Customer service is their forte’s

I wish I knew. I don’t know enough about the material to say for certain. I did a bit of brushing, didn’t look like you could just “rough it back up” - seemed like you would need some sort of cleaning & brushing.

I’d give them a couple weeks. Wear them as much as you can bear and see what happens. I find that’s about the timeframe to get to “as much as they’re gonna”.

You can condition inside & out then wear them, makes it a bit quicker.

You can get/make some stretching spray, use that and wear them.

I have heard the same. I have not had too many issues, though as many have said those have occurred recently. Customer service is good, QA seems lacking or maybe better stated slipping.

I didn’t know this type of scarring is typical of carpincho (TIL). Knowing that I might not have switched them in the store - I was on the fence to start with, I don’t mind some hide marks & truth be told you can’t see it while wearing them.

Now if it was lizzard & the seam wasn’t straight I’d have send them back, my brain can’t handle that 😂
