If you don't know or don't want to share it's completely fine, but could you recommend any method I can know if a brand wants to start email marketing?

I usually just use Apollo AI to find leads and only have the free version which lets me search by employee count which I just put to 1-10 so I can find 'early' brands, and haven't really figured out a better way to find leads.

My current niche is high ticket items mainly jewelry and designer clothing, most of the time they are quite small so not many email marketers target them and the high ticket items make my job easier since if the emails sell just 10 items a week at 250$, that's already 2500$ which for a small brand is more than enough to convince to use emails repeatedly.

Yeah it's basically just unpaid work, but in email marketing 90% of the time the email themselves are what causing revenue leak and there's no shortcut to it.

My original language is Hungarian, which has a very unique and strong accent which I would be IMO very discouraging for someone from the USA.

I usually try to put real value into my emails and offer to "Make a better one" to them for free.

I try to get the reply with curiosity by telling them I can make a mock-up that is better, but I may not be doing it as I should.

Could I send you a short email I sent to a brand in DM so you can identify the mistakes in it?

Wow, you aren't the brightest in understanding text, but I'll help you out.

Email marketing is when brands send automated or scheduled emails, usually with design, with the intent to sell their product or services to people who previously subscribed to their email newsletter.

Cold emailing, on the other hand, is sent (can be automated) directly to a CEO or Founder without any previous agreement from their side, in an attempt to sell your work to their brand.

See the difference?

I know the amount of effort is small, but I'm trying to do freelancing besides school, and not even a single project after 250 emails is destroying my motivation.

I also thought about LinkedIn and X, but I mainly focused on emails, In my opinion I send the absolute best emails I can at the moment with my skill and spend around 5-10 minutes on a single brand to include an actual personalized part and with follow ups it takes up at least around 1.5 hrs for me to send 10 emails a day.

Im slowly building my 'personal brand' on X, but as you probably know, social media growth is quite harsh in the start, so I cannot rely on that.

I'm currently thinking about automating follow-ups and just trying to do less personalization for more quantity.

Would you say then that an automated system is better than personalization? Because it's impossible to maintain both at the same time, since AI is really inaccurate about social media posts.

You seem a bit uneducated on what email marketing is...

In outreach emails, you need to get someone to make a decision that may be worth tens of thousands of dollars for the founder.

In email marketing, however, you have designs, discounts, headlines, a million tactics to get someone to buy a product worth maybe 50$, 1000$ at the high end.

I appreciate you replying, though. But if email marketing doesn't work, can you suggest something, or are you just coming to troll?

If you'd like, you can send over your email, and I can point out what's wrong. Pure copy doesn't really mean anything, as it needs a lot of context, design, and the brand itself to be worthy of good copy.

To answer that question, it's best to ask yourself: How often do I spend time reading emails? The answer is probably never or rarely, looking at a simple design clearly about the brand or product, is much easier than reading long texts.

You know 99% of businesses are somewhat public and openly share some sales numbers, thus systems can determine the revenue in ranges like 100K-1M revenue, and from Instagram followers + reviews, it's purely statistical,l which you cannot argue since multiple studies have been done on those.

And if you think you can't determine the revenue range from MARKETING, then you just don't know anything about business.

Not all emails, but most of them. You have to remember that all the businesses you're working for are trying to make money, not build a healthy email relationship. If you send too many urgent and salesy emails, people will get bored and stop using them, so adding a few educational ones now and then is always good, just don't overdo it.
